Join us on Sunday, November 3, 2024 for an evening of chamber music with The Last Stand Quartet with pianist Natalia Kazaryan.

📅 Two performances: 5:00 PM & 6:30 PM
📍 Location: The Rectory on Princess Street

Featuring members of The National Symphony Orchestra, this talented group will perform Schumann’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in E-flat Major, alongside Mozart’s String Quartet No. 8 in F-Major. Special guest Natalia Kazaryan will join the quartet on piano for an evening of intricate and glorious music.

Don’t miss this performance that has been praised by The Washington Post for its “consistent refinement and interpretive restraint.”

🇿🇦 A new goodwill initiative by Classical Movements! 🎺🎻

Classical Movements is leading an instrument drive to collect instruments for many of the talented and promising young musicians in South Africa! During our 30 years of working in South Africa we have experienced the tremendous potential and skill in the local musicians, but also seen the enormous need for instruments there. We invite you to contribute by donating instruments or funds to help support this initiative!

Three ways for you to participate:
🎻 Donating instruments in good condition
💰 Donating toward shipping and admin costs
🙋 Volunteering to be a collection point

With her new show “YOU & THE NIGHT & THE MUSIC: From Porter to Puccini,” Anna Bergman and her accompanist Howard Breitbart, will serenade you with beloved songs from Broadway musicals and films by Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, George & Ira Gershwin, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein, Michel Legrand, Charles Trenet, Noel Coward, Don McLean, Johann Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, and signature songs performed by Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich.

Looking back fondly at this summer's landmark orchestra tour with the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra This dazzling journey took them to some of Europe's most iconic concert venues, including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Stadtcasino in Basel, Switzerland.

It's a privilege and a passion to plan and produce these and many other spectacular tours with our talented clients, sharing music across the globe 🌍🎶

Our 2023-24 season took us on an adventure through South America!

Alongside our clients of Michigan Men's Glee Club , The Washington Chorus, Boychoir Academy, University of Michigan Chamber Choir, and Triangle Choral Exchange, we explored Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Peru, and the experience was truly incomparable.

Exciting progress at this year's Prague Summer Nights: Young Artists Music Festival! 🎉

From a major success with our orchestra's stunning performance at Smetana Hall, featuring the world debut of "Go where the wind takes you..." with Anna Dmytrenko and Dvořák's 9th Symphony, to a chamber music performance with works by Dvořák, Suk, Bacewicz, and more, our musicians have been dazzling!

The orchestra also traveled to Kutná Hora for a concert in the Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady and St. John the Baptist, playing pieces by Smetana, Elgar, and Brahms, and our opera singers' first performance at the Oskar Nedbal Theater in Tábor was a hit, as always.

Now, we’ve made it to the Estates Theatre and started tech rehearsals for "Le nozze di Figaro" and "Don Giovanni." Stay tuned for news on the big premiere!

Our very own Three Choirs Festival in Spain. A joyous, packed Standing Room Only Concert in Utrera where the whole town came.out despite Spain vs France euro Cup Semi final match. Delighted with the musicianship and comradery and joy between the Choirs- the local.Escolania Choir, the Children's Chorus of Washington, Miami Childrens Chorus and Florida Singing Sons.The Mayor, the Cultural folks, the Religious folk, the American AirForce base were so delighted we came to their town and welcomed and thanked us with an abundance of gifts.
