Receiving an assortment of the world's finest chocolates from Jeff Abella and Chelsea Abella of MOKA Origins reminds me of being in those countries, especially with them.

A tapestry of boldness and nuance of flavors that has me returning again and again.
Chocolate and Coffee for a good cause...

Those happy moments when you find your public presentation given 20 years ago at the PBS studios in Buffalo.

The largest project we ever pitched, which brought me back to LA then Buffalo, here on an old DVD.

Half of a lifetime later, we are looking forward to going through it again.

1969
The news photographer had a bright flash on his large format camera.
I remember the reporter asking mom how things were going on her own as a sole proprietor in the profession.

I heard her reply.."Very well."

She had also been finishing her M'Arch at that time.

Now I ask again 55 years later..
I stlll hear.

'Very Well'
This time the voice is my own.

1982 Hansda Ashram
Outside of Kathmandu, Nepal

People ask me:
'Of the places you have been to and/or lived in, where is your favorite place?'

I usually say..
When I catch up to the first yatra (which is posted here), I may be able to answer that.'

But for now..here is where I will stay in memory. That experience is still the game changer. We made some big decisions there.

That evocative sense of place.
A numinous zone of potentialities.
More real than limitations inserted on the products and processes of creativity.

Mount Olive and the stained glass window that the late Pastor Gillison and I had discussed before the vestibule was added.
It still looks like a beacon in the night after 20 years.
I remember we were very satisfied upon beholding the window for the first time.
Now it reminds me of a great man and his great mission of service to the community. His presence is truly missed.

Remembering Reyner 'Peter' Banham.
During the time of media influenced by futuristic film, literature and architecture, he had prepared a course for studying megastructures at my Alma Mater in the 70's (a subject previously popularized by Archigram, Kenzo Tange, Kikutake and others.)
He had recalled this to us in his NYC apartment when we would visit him later in his life.

He was one of the most fascinating of the many that came to our home in those days during the mid 70s.
He asked us to call him Peter. That was his name in our house.
He thoroughly enjoyed theater and I remember attending a Sherlock Holmes play (based on the novel 'Sign of the Four') with our families one cold Sunday afternoon in 1977.

Always with a good story at tea.
Always looking to the future within a vastly changing world. He had a cheerful, readily-laughing voice that freely expressed his ability to quickly compress, expand and/or integrate the ideas of the times. His stories were filled with references of the past and those of contemporary culture seamlessly blended.

Even a child could readily comprehend his passion for gaining and expressing his own immensely practical, yet visionary and lively intelligence.

The creative process in children is a mystery.
What it is that drives them to create, is personal to them.

The potential to understand their unique vision, is the duty of a creative parent.

This picture is a portion of a manuscript preserved since 1972.

Bonnie Foit -Albert's dream made manifest, by persistence in the belief that creativity is innate, inward and self-revelatory.

It leaves an abiding sense of joy by its own discovery and expression.

AAD is proud to have completed the task of documenting this life-long dream.
