1 - Meet the characters: there are constant character meet and greets throughout the day including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wanda, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Captain America, and more. 💡Here's an idea to keep things "fresh" for those of us that visit Walt Disney World often. Try a resort hotel snack hunt! Most resort quick-service locations have a snack that is truly unique and in the process of securing your treat, you'll get to visit and explore other properties. Maybe you'll even fall in love with a new favorite place to stay. For instance, Animal Kingdom Lodge has Zebra Domes, the Polynesian Village Resort has a Dole Whip window, the Riviera Resort has delicious banana bread and Port Orleans French Quarter has those scrumptious beignets. You could have a really fun and delicious day!

✨If nostalgia is the driving force that brings you out to Disneyland and you want to feel a little immersed in "the Disneyland of Walt's Day", I highly recommend staying at the Disneyland Hotel. As the first hotel to open at the resort in 1955, it's home to displays of memorabilia, attraction models, vintage photographs and nods to a bygone era throughout the towers.

🎃🎄💀“What’s this? What’s this? WHAT IS THIS?!” Every year through the spooky and Christmas seasons, Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion welcomes Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boogie with The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay.

If you are a fan of this movie, you will love all the details. Each room through the Mansion is decked out in its Nightmare-est finest. If you are looking for the classic Haunted Mansion features, you may be a bit disappointed as even the music and script changes.

🎃 Spooky season is upon us (at least at Walt Disney World) so let's talk costumes! The reality is, whether you attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in August, September, October or next year, it's going to very likely be HOT as Hades. These character costumes are adorable, but leave this level of dress up to the pros. You're going to want to think LIGHT and AIRY for your party attire, trust me.

📸 Here's a PRO TIP in honor of World Photography Day!

👑 I'm not sure if you know this, but there is an adorable photo studio in the Magic Kingdom that is included with the Memory Maker photo package. Inside Sir Mickey's (behind Cinderella Castle) is the Royal Portrait Studio. You might be fooled into thinking that this is just for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers, but NOPE! It's a PhotoPass experience and anyone can stop here to have their photos taken. If you've purchased Memory Maker, you're all set. If not, you'll have to purchase the photos if you want them. Just like any other PhotoPass picture, these will show up in your My Disney Experience app.

🫣🥂💖NO KIDS ALLOWED! On this Couples Day, let’s explore some ways to enjoy time with JUST your sweetheart at Walt Disney World.

🍽️ Eat somewhere that doesn’t include a character or a buffet. For a lovely meal that also doesn't cost an arm and a Ieg, I recommend the Prix Fixe Menu at La Crêperie de Paris at EPCOT.

🏩 A stay at the Coronado Springs Resort or Riviera Resort will (likely) mean fewer kids, lots of resort amenities, dining options and peaceful ambience. Definitely spend some time relaxing at the quiet pools.

💆‍♀️A massage and some sauna time could be just the thing you're looking for! Two guest favorites are at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.

🌙After Hours events are a blast, have lower crowds, special characters, low wait times, special treats, but they aren’t always pleasant for little ones-they run late! Enjoy a rest day lounging around the pool the day of the event before heading out. Then plan for a slow morning the next day and reminisce about your sweet time together.

📣I don't mean to shout, but PLAN FOR A NON THEME PARK DAY WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR WALT DISNEY WORLD VACATION! Don't get me wrong, the theme parks are second to none, but friends, there is so much to be said for taking a break to be "lazy" and enjoying your resort. Every resort hotel has a list of activities posted for the entire week that offers something for everyone (pool games, art and crafts, trivia, etc). Dine on property and explore! You could stumble upon an arcade, caricature artist, giant game of Twister, who knows. If you really feel like venturing out, WDW has two miniature golf courses. The point is, no schedule, no return times, no breaking a sweat to get from point A to point B "in time."

🍽️🥁🎸A question I often get from my guests is "what's included in EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival?" While actual food and wine is available for purchase at booths throughout the park, one thing included with your EPCOT park admission is the Eat to the Beat concert series. During this festival, the American Gardens Theater is host to popular music acts that play 20-30 minute sets a few times a day Fridays thru Mondays (with local acts performing Tues-Thurs).

🎳 Ya know, a "resort day" doesn't HAVE to mean just hanging out at your resort. You can get out and see what else is out there beyond the parks, like bowling! Splitsville in Disney Springs is bowling...with SUSHI! Bowling with loaded fries...and bowling that doesn't smell like someone's basement! What a fun way to beat the heat and have a little friendly family competition on vacay! Is this something you'd do on your next Disney trip?

‼️PRO TIP: 🎃👻🍬Tonight is the first night of MNSSHP and there will be loads of nights between tonight and the end of October that will have Magic Kingdom closing eerily early to non-party guests. Don't be scared to visit Magic Kingdom on a party day even if you don't have the special event tickets. Many times, we see lighter crowds ALL day on party days. So you can have lighter crowds as a treat and then head out to enjoy another park, a delicious dinner or have a "Movie Under the Stars" night at your resort.

😰We could talk all day about the importance of staying hydrated at the Florida theme parks, but did you know there are some limits to what beverages you can purchase inside Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter?

🚫🥤There is NO SODA sold inside the land and the only water available for purchase is Gilly Water. Don’t worry, it’s regular water, but it will cost a bit more than the bottled water in other parts of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It’s fun to buy a couple for the novelty of it, and you can purchase flavored elixirs to add to the bottles. But, if you are looking to buy for the whole family, then think about picking up drinks, especially if you need your cold, carbonated caffeine, in another land. Or bring a refillable bottle with you.

🥤💫Universal Orlando Resort gives us what the Walt Disney World Resort just can't seem to...theme park refillable mugs! Yup, you can purchase a refillable mug to use inside the theme parks! Plus, it's not only Coca-Cola beverages, it includes Icee drinks too! You know what that means, right? Unlimited FROZEN COKES!

Now this mug is a SEPARATE purchase from Universal's resort refillable mug program, but it's still a fantastic bargain for anyone that enjoys fountain beverages and/or Icees. Especially in the hot summer months!

✨💜✨ BEST DINNER EVER! Who doesn't love Rapunzel?! There is definitely not enough of this fun loving "blondie" in the parks but the Disney Magic celebrates her deliciously with her own amazing themed restaurant! Let your hair down and enjoy ravioli with pulled beef, thyme roasted chicken, creme brûlée cheesecake and SO much more! The best part, this multi-course, all you care to eat dinner is INCLUDED in your voyage fare! Eat like a lost princess who just found her way home, it's included!

Ahhh HA!!! As an East Coaster, I will admit there are a lot of times that my West Coast FOMO gets out of control. Not.Today. We are WINNING Friendship Day in Walt Disney World. Crystal Palace's Pooh and friends character meal is one of THE sweetest character dining experiences out there. Period. Sure, Disneyland has a ride and you can meet the gang...but they DON'T have puffed French Toast while you hug on the ENTIRE 100 Acre Wood gang. Score one for us on the East Coast!

🌐 EPCOT isn't all about crazy cuisines and experimental flavors, there are some great spots that will satisfy even your pickiest of eaters. Via Napoli not only has crowd-pleasing pizza, but their pizzas can indeed feed the WHOLE crowd! There's no skimping here and even Mikey will like it!

☀️🏰 Are you a "completer"? Meaning, do you like to feel like you DID IT ALL on vacation? If so, the Disneyland Resort is the destination for you. With only two theme parks and a smaller shopping district, five days at Disneyland is all you really need to feel like it's been DONE! Now, you may want to stay longer to try more dining experiences or soak up as much of Walt's park as you can, but you can truly feel fulfilled in under a week.

A stop at this Animal Kingdom hidden gem is something you'll definitely want to add to your itinerary. Don't let the word "lounge" fool you. It's kid friendly, has a fantastic small bites menu and offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments...many garnished with watermelon! Try either version of Jenn's Tattoo if you're a fan of the unofficial fruit of summer.

On this day in 1997 Disney opened a new resort - Coronado Springs. This resort is considered a Moderate resort, but I think of it as a Deluxe resort. It doesn't have the same Deluxe after-hours perks but, the resort has a Deluxe feel and ammenities.

GOOD NEWS for anyone planning to visit both Walt Disney World and Disneyland-the MagicBand+ bands work at both locations! Since these are a bit of an investment, being able to use the same band on both coasts instantly increases the value of the splurge.

MagicBand+ bands can be used to enter theme parks, access Lightning Lanes, interact with select theme park and nighttime experiences and more. The two big differences at the Disneyland Resort is that they cannot be used to make purchases or open resort hotel rooms-but do have that functionality at the Walt Disney World Resort.

🤔😨Not sure which Disney destination to book? Make that decision, my friend, especially when it comes to Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line vacations! There are typically 2 price increases per year for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line pricing is dynamic. That means the price will surely increase as the sailing gets closer. Part of my job as your travel planner is to price watch, so don’t worry if a promotion comes out, I’ll be trying to apply it for you, possibly before you even wake up!

On this day in 1999, the very first FastPass was issued at Walt Disney World! In the world of change and Genie+, I'd like to hear what your preference is? Same-day, race to the attraction FastPass? FastPass+ where you could book 3 attractions in advance? Or the current Genie+/Lightning Lane option?

Me personally, I liked the FastPass+ where I could book my FastPasses in advance and tailor them around my already booked Advanced Dining Reservations (less stress and less running around and potentially missed either a dining or FastPass reservation). Eventhough Genie+ can get you on way more rides in one day - if you know how to use it right! - I still miss the regular FastPass+!
