The Town Doesn't Suck Maybe its Your Cruise.

4th of July is a really special time for the people living and visiting Juneau. From the spectacular midnight fireworks show to the small town parade in downtown Juneau. For some visitors it was not due to their ship selling out of all excursions and docking into port late. That's where one visitor stated that, she is never coming back to Juneau because the Town sucked. That's when a sales employee replied, "did it ever occur to you that it could be your cruise"?

So, here are a few tips for first timers cruising through southeast Alaska.

1. All ports in the southeast are small. So that means, your time could be limited. So planning excursions that rang 2.5 to 3 hours are ideal. Like City and or, flight tours.

2. Juneau and Seward are the #1 port when it comes to Whales, Seals, Sea Lions and bird Watches. If it's in the budget I'd recommend doing both.

3. For those seeking out Moose and bears in the southeast. Skagway would be the ticket. The rest of the southeast has Sitka Dear and not Moose.

4. Try and reach out to a local and or, a seasonal traveler of the southeast. All of us here at Juneau Travel are locals born and raised here in Alaska. So do not hesitate to reach out and ask us questions.

With this being the first blog. The team and I, look forward to answering your questions and, visiting Juneau.

Cheers.
