How Catherine works with parents
Catherine respects and supports all families. While she brings plenty of knowledge and experience to the table, she considers you the expert in your children. She shares what she has learned and also wants to understand and learn about the unique experiences and particular values of your family.
Catherine understands how giving birth and caring for babies and young children makes us vulnerable in new ways. Sooner or later, our parenting will present all of us with unexpected and sometimes overwhelming challenges. She considers it a privilege and honor to help, teach, reassure and encourage parents in their journey.
When helping families as a postpartum doula, she builds parents’ confidence by helping them understand and respond the needs of their individual babies, while providing the day-to-day support which parents and siblings need.
