For those of us that follow all things related to the ocean it is a big day in Hawaii today.

According to maritime historian Mac Simpson, "Aikau was a legend on the North Shore, pulling people out of waves that no one else would dare to. That's where the saying came from – Eddie would go, when no one else would or could. Only Eddie dared." The phrase originated during the first Eddie contest.

I read his book in college. It was life changing. I still have it.

I’m sorry FL friends. I get the struggle. I can verify that 30 up north is just as cold as 55 in SW FL. Watch out for falling Iguanas. 🦎 Scientifivally speaking, St Pete / Clearwater line is just about as far North as they can live naturally. They are rare but theiy are around. My buddy in SPB has one on his sea wall for years.

Coral was talking about what she will name her kids this morning (she is 8😎). She has decided she wants to name her son “Jimmy Buffett Taylor”. I win the internet for today. 😂 It may be 29 degrees but I’m smiling on my own personal beach today in my head. 😂. Happy Friday.

It's seal season in Ocean City and while they look cute and cuddly, Animal Control Officers warn that seals are federally protected, and no one should approach, touch, or feed a seal, and are advised to stay at least 100 yards away. Today is the earliest sunset of the year. You know what that means? SUMMER IS COMING. Time to start getting those bathing suits and sunblock ready. This is going to be the best summer ever. Who is ready to hit the Resturaunt/bars, sandbars, and go look at the ponies? I know I am. Remember. ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED onboard but it is BYOB. I always have a cooler onboard with ice, ready for your food and drinks
