A sick day on vacation is better than a sick day at home, right?? Or maybe not… but not all is lost!

-canceled dining reservations for today
-adjusted reservations for later in the trip
-got their Genie+ purchase refunded. Not typical but it never hurts to ask!
-talked through grocery delivery
-got the answers for her travel insurance questions to see what options they have for medical help and trip interruption

Nobody really wants a bunch of strangers in their vacation photos. Although I’ve met the nicest people at Disney, I’d prefer photos of my princesses in front of the castle like it’s their very own real estate.
And I’m guessing you do too.
So try one of these times for a photo with the castle looking like your home away from home!
🏰 Early morning entry for resort guests is a great way to capture an empty castle ahead of the crowds.
🏰 Right before a castle show which is what is featured here. I think the rope could easily be removed with a photo editing software or app.
🏰 Late night when the crowds thin out. Deluxe resort guests get extra late night hours at Magic Kingdom on select nights!
🏰 Rainy days have light crowds! Plus umbrellas and the castle are just meant to be.
🏰 Party days have fewer people during the day as well as limited crowds during the night.

Getting stranded on an island might sound nice in theory (put your hand up if you’re a parent) but the reality is probably a little scary.
Share these tips with someone considering a cruise vacation!
If you seen the news lately you might have heard about some cruise guests who got left on an African island when their excursion didn’t get them back to their ship before it embarked for the next port.
I admit this was probably scary but before you swear off cruising, there are some things you should know…
🚢 The ship sails without you. It’s nothing personal, it’s just what is best for the majority in order to stay on schedule. So always leave plenty of time for you to get back on board when you disembark for a port.
🚢 Sometimes things happen on your excursion and the return time is delayed. This isn’t often or the norm but it’s a possibility. Booking your excursion through the cruise company is the best choice. The excursion company will keep in contact with your ship as well as the cruise company will work to get you back on board if they leave or they may stay and wait for you.
🚢 Third party excursions aren’t a bad choice but be sure you have trip insurance so if you’re delayed by the excursion, trip insurance can help cover your expenses to get you back on the ship.
🚢 Use a travel agent. It often doesn’t cost you any additional fees but it does enhance the value of your trip because now you get the benefits of personalized trip and an advocate who is in your corner!

You’re right. That discount travel site might save you a few dollars. I can’t deny that.
But let me tell me what it’s not going to do in exchange for those savings.
It’s not going to make your dining reservations or offer excursion suggestions custom to your family’s needs.
It won’t call the resort or cruise line to mention your anniversary trip so they’re aware you are in need of extra spoiling.
It won’t answer your call with a real person and it will only text you using a bot program.
It won’t sit on hold for hours to make sure your accommodations can be switched because your family got the flu.
It won’t walk you through why you probably need travel insurance or how to make a claim because weather changed your plans.
It won’t make sure you have a custom itinerary full of tips and tricks focused on you and your interests.
It won’t double check that you have a packing list, stroller rental, scooter access, flight tips, or any other little detail you might not have thought about.
It won’t send you a thank you gift for supporting their business and choosing them as your vacation planner.
And that’s just the short list of things I’ve done just THIS WEEK for my clients.
My quotes and pricing come directly from the destination you want to visit. I don’t set the price and often my planning fee is built into the price you’re paying no matter where you book. I encourage you to think about the value of that $50 savings and if it’s worth it compared to the service you receive when you plan your travels with me.

What do you mean you don’t want salsa and applesauce?? I can’t be the only one who works to empty the fridge before leaving on vacation.
