HOW AND WHY I BECAME A HOME BASED TRAVEL AGENT*****

A long time ago, I went to school and got a degree in Recreation and Tourism. I worked with a tour bus company designing tours for Seniors (mostly). While I loved that position, the company went under and I had to move on. While working in various travel positions I met my then husband, got married and had our two daughters. So I left the industry. When my youngest went to Kindergarten, I decided to pursue Nursing. I’ve been a Nurse for almost 20 yrs, and while I love being able to help people in their time of need, I no longer love nursing with the same passion. COVID was a real eye opener for many bedside nurses, and many of us have left those positions for less stressful ones. In 2022, my husband and I separated and I began to think of what I wanted to do for me and what my life was going to look like. I took a second look at an opportunity a friend of a friend had presented to me in 2019. That opportunity was this business. While the timing was not right in 2019, I felt the timing was perfect in April of 2023. I joined this business because I needed to be able to support myself into retirement, which in realistic terms would be when I was 67. I don’t want to wait that long! This business opens up opportunities I didn’t know existed. I am supported, coached and encouraged by a team of agents looking for the same opportunities. Time freedom, Financial freedom, freedom from the 9-5, Travel freedom, and new adventures are just a few possibilities.
Now that my divorce is eminent, I want to explore life as a single gal who loves to travel. Who knows where it will lead me?
I have two precious grandsons that I want to take on adventures as my parents took my girls. I want to spend as much time with them as possible, because time passes far too quickly.
I want to give the gift of travel to my girls and my mom, who is my ride or die.
I want to retire from Nursing entirely in the next couple of years.
