Allen and his brother Howell tore em up on Clinton today.
I have not really been on Clinton much but going off my historical trends landed us right in the money. It was fast and furious morning with 20 overs and a ton of smalls before the heat.
We were fishing in ten ft of water or less and catching them on the shade side of structure, hope this helps some as I have seen posts asking about Clinton.
Mission accomplished on beating the heat!

I was blessed enough to be able to get the opportunity to fish the Lithia Springs Catfish tournament lastnight with a good friend.
We were lucky enough to walk away with 1st place 36lbs on 3 fish and big fish of 13 lbs!
A big thanks to my wife for putting up with my crazy fishing addiction, my partner Mich Williams, my in laws for watching Baby Warner and everyone else that supports my small business.

Vince laid the hammer to em this morning! It has been an unbelievable August bite, we had our limits at 9am. Most of my fish are coming from ten feet of water or less. There is no special bait or special color, it’s more about the presentation of the bait right now.
There’s so many quality crappie in the lake right now, go enjoy!
Also please keep our lake clean. I pulled up to the dock and someone left these plastic bottles. Every single boat ramp has a garbage can, please use them.

I had the pleasure of taking out Louie and his wife today.
Today was no different than it has been all summer long. 45 quality white crappie. Boy it’s fun when you have em dialed in.
Also congrats to cousin Beau on taking 1st place and big fish on the most recent Clinton Lake catfish tournament, with 145 lbs on three fish. Fishing may or may not run in the family. If you know, you know.

I had the pleasure of taking Dan out this morning. Dan’s one of those guys that has caught truck loads of crappie and doesn’t really need a guide but books regularly. He says it’s just nice to show up, be put on fish and not have to clean em!

Rick and his grandson PJ laid the wood to em this morning. It was a slab fest all morning long. The quality of fish for summer was incredible but no monsters today. Shelbyville is pumping out the best summer time crappie fishing I have ever seen in my 31 years of fishing it and possibly even Dads life time. I’m on a very specific pattern that’ll keep you in the biting fish all morning long.

Jordan and Matt caught a massive amount of fish this morning! I’ve said it all summer long that Shelbyville is producing the best summer time fishing that I’ve ever possibly seen. I only remember being on summer time fishing like this one other time in my life and that was the crank bait year, 4-5 years ago now.

Honestly was tough today until about two pm on Decatur. It was one of those light switch moments and I think the front had something to do with it. All morning long the bigs wouldn’t bite then I hit a pile and caught my limit in 30 mins. Crappie fishing is wild, as soon as you think you got em figured out they send ya for a loop.

I have said it over and over this summer. Lake Shelbyville is pumping out quality fish like I’ve never seen before.
Kyle and his Wife Brenda enjoyed a cool summer morning on Shelby and boy it didn’t disappoint.
I think Baby Warner is ready to catch his first limit tomorrow.

Went fishing with Dad yesterday. First time since breaking the foot. We absolutely laid the wood to em, we easily caught four limits casting into mega schools. It seems like throughout the year you can catch crappie near the channel. That pattern never fails. Hope y’all have a great weekend!
