📍 Disney's Port Orlean Resort - French Quarter ✨

This resort captures the essence of the French Quarter in New Orleans, with its vibrant colors, wrought-iron balconies, and cobblestone streets. I visited this resort for the first time this past December - and as someone who grew up going to New Orleans every year, it truly does feel like you're walking through the French Quarter (but quite a bit cleaner 😉). I love how it's Mardi Gras all year long here! And the best part? Mickey beignets! Or for those over 21, beignet's infused with Bailey's (pictures bottom left)!

Oh! Another cool feature - you can take a boat to Disney Springs! Arriving to Disney springs from the middle of the lake was a really unique experience.

TRUE STORY:

We spent our honeymoon at Secret's Akumal. The only excursion we really cared about doing was snorkeling, so we booked a snorkeling excursion through the concierge at the resort (the concierge advised us that we should just snorkel at the resort instead - but we thought it would be better on the excursion, so we paid extra and booked it anyways). It was a 45 minute drive each way to the snorkeling spot, and the whole experience was just "okay" (we saw some fish and coral, but nothing amazing). So the next day, we decided to rent snorkeling equipment at the resort and try snorkeling right off the coast of our resort - and we saw 3 SEA TURTLES that swam right next to us, along with so many other tropical fish and gorgeous coral! It was amazing - and we saw this all by just walking straight into the ocean from the beach of the resort.

Here are two photos taken with my phone on our honeymoon. Just look at how clear the water is! And the one at the top was the view from our balcony. If you're looking for an all-inclusive resort that has it ALL - this resort is the one for you!
