Hi friends! 💕 There are some new faces around here, so I figured I’d introduce myself. 

✨ My name is Rachel, and I’m a speech-language pathologist and Earmarked Disney & Universal Travel Agent.

🍑 I’m a born and raised Georgia girl, but you won’t hear a Southern accent since my parents are from the North. 

🧁 I’m a Mama in her early 30s, full-on Disney Adult, carb lover, and wanna be homesteader in an Atlanta suburb.

🏰 I grew up going to the parks with my family, and now I get to do the same with my little family of 3 kids three and under.

🦁 Animal Kingdom is my favorite park, Pop Century is my go-to Value resort, I always plan for a resort day during my stay, and the Riveria is my top Bucket List Resort Stay.

✈️ As a travel agent I am ALL about making the most of your vacation dollars, finding those Disney tips that really work for you, and prioritizing intentional Disney vs rope-drop to park-close Disney.

✨RunDisney weekend recap✨

Met some new friends, reconnected with old friends, had a great charcuterie board, ran the Neverland 5k with the Ronald McDonald House, and loved the Magic Kingdom fireworks view during the Fireworks Dessert Party.

So grateful for these friends, this agency, and these memories. 🤍

Planning Tip: Get your first coffee of the day at the Joffrey’s stand outside of Animal Kingdom vs inside. Why? Because your first queue in the park is better spent on an attraction, show, character, or nature walk.

☕️ If you need more caffeine during your Animal Kingdom day or you forgot to grab coffee on your way in, you can get some at Creature Comforts, Kusafiri, Island of Java, or at the Joffrey’s stand at Royal Anandapur in Asia.

The Skyliner’s tagline is resonating hard today, so it was only fitting I add this iconic transportation mode to the feed.

If you’re not staying on Disney property but wish to experience this, my suggestion is to make a dining reservation at one of the Epcot resorts and take a flight before or after your meal.

Instacliff Notes: Contemporary Resort & her Bay Lake Tower Version

Pros: shortest walk to Magic Kingdom, great for families with younger kids who want to be at Magic Kingdom a lot, amazing firework views outside the park, Steakhouse 71, Chef Mickey’s, California Grill, Electric Water Parade at night, fantastic merch stalls, has a business center for the working traveler, and coffee bar in the lobby.

Cons: Not as budget-friendly (but you are paying for awesome location and more amenities), no playgrounds, pools are okay, and conventions can make this hotel busy.

Daniel and I were on our first no-kids trip, unintentionally matched, and were about to meet some Simply Magical friends and eat at Flying Fish on the Boardwalk for the first time.

BYOB: bring your own bubbles.🫧

We like to proactively plan vs reactively spend around here when it comes to Disney with babies and toddlers.

Do your future vacation self a favor and buy a fun Disney-themed bubble gun prior to entering the parks. Keep it hidden until you’re in a situation that calls for it (i.e., long lines, overstimulation, tired, etc), and then pull it out for some newly found joy.

In these photos, we were rope-dropping the Moana meet-and-greet. While waiting, we pulled out the pre-bought bubbles and it made the wait fly by for these kids. Once we started moving, we packed the bubbles up and saved them for the next time we needed them.

Hi all!��A really cool opportunity arose recently. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) reached out to our travel agency and asked if anyone would be interested in a fundraising opportunity.

The opportunity would be to run in the RunDisney 5k on behalf of RMHC. When I looked into the basis of RMHC, I saw that their goal is to keep families together when children are undergoing times of need. �

Some may not know, but when we had Bodhi in Ella in 2022, we only had 1 week at home as a family of 5 before Bodhi was in the hospital for a 3 week stay. He battled RSV as a preemie, and he required oxygen support and NG feedings to help him survive. Daniel and I were fortunate enough to be able to rotate staying in the hospital with him since our house was 20 minutes away; however, for some families, this isn't even an option due to money, distance, or whatever their life circumstances may be. By contributing to my fundraiser, you are providing families the opportunity to be with/near their children when they are in medical times of need. ��

As far as I am aware, this is a tax-deductible donation, so if you’re looking to get a jump start on donating this year - I would love to be considered. ;)��If you’re unable to donate at this time, I absolutely understand! Walt Disney World is kicking off the new year by releasing a new offer that is exclusive to Disney+ subscribers!

Starting tomorrow, January 3rd, Disney+ subscribers can get a FREE dining plan when purchasing a non-discounted 4 night, 4 day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a Disney Resort hotel and theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option.

Valid travel dates include July 1 - September 30, 2024.

Essentially, you could be eating for free while there.
Dining Plan Suggestion: A snack is included each day in the Dining Plan. While you’re melting in the Florida sun, you can use a snack credit for a specialty ice cream bar to help you cool down.

Only for snacks.. and maybe pacis.

I won’t pretend that I spent more than 5 minutes on this graphic, lol. The tip is the important part. Get yourself a chest crossbody bag, fill it with easy and favorite snacks before you leave for the parks, and have it easily accessible when the kids need a pick-me-up in line. Saves you from searching the diaper bag or in the bottom of the stroller and saves you from some epic midday meltdowns.

Last time I posted was July 15th, and it was the first day of our first Disney World trip as a family of 5. Life has been a whirlwind since the start of that trip, and I’m just now able to have some time to scroll through my photos to relive the memories.

It was:
chaotic
joy-filled
UNBELIEVABLY hot
& magical.

Take your little ones. Bring ALL the snacks. Enjoy living vicariously in their wonder-filled moments.

It’s worth it.

There are so many rides, shows, dining options, and character experiences, that it is nearly impossible to do everything in one day.

Here are 3 planning strategies I like to use when making park plans.

•Pick your top 5 must-rides of the day
There’s a sense of accomplishment when you get all 5, and typically it gives you more wiggle room to enjoy all the other park experiences without feeling like you wasted a day.

•Utilize extra hours when you can
Not everyone wants to get up at the crack of dawn and not everyone wants to stay out late for the, if applicable, deluxe resort evening hours. However, when the group is in agreement, tackle some rides during the first 30 minutes open only to resort guests or during the extended evening hours. Lines are shorter and you can knock out a heavy hitters with reduced lines! If you’re looking to stay onsite, let’s get you booked with my free booking services!

•Consider a Lightning Lane purchase
Consider purchasing a lightning lane for the rides known to have super long waits (i.e. Peter Pan, Frozen Ever After, Slinky Dog Dash, etc). It’s more money. I absolutely get the frustration, but if you consider the cost of a reduced wait time and more opportunities to enjoy sometime else, it can absolutely be worth it.

Animal Kingdom - part 4/4.

There are so many options to optimizing your time in the parks while also accounting for naps/the sanity of your family.

Not mentioned in here is taking the time to go to The Boneyard. (a place for children to play, slide, and dig for fossils and bones) and Maharajah Jungle Trek (a wildlife trail).

Animal Kingdom really has so much for families, and if your little one likes to wander and explore, this park really lets you lean into those movement needs.

Nap schedules can be kept during Disney vacations, and when you book with me, we can come up with some different idea that may work for your family!

One of the biggest and easiest preps you can do for a Disney vacation (or any vacation really) is prep your kid for what’s to come.

Bridge’s last visit was November, 2021 and he had just turned 1. He will remember nothing, and he will be overstimulated.

We’re prepping him now for things we know he’ll experience willingly as well as prepping him for those loud experiences (ie shows and fireworks) that have the potential to be too much.

Will he still be overstimulated even with this prep? Absolutely. He’s a toddler. But at least there’s a level of familiarity to reduce how overstimulated he could be.

Now, he’s got a reference point and we can start talking about how loud it could be or if a ride might be dark.

This helps us lean into what he may want to gravitate towards to make our vacation a little easier to plan and more enjoyable.

3 of 4!

Hollywood Studios is great, don’t get me wrong. But, compared to the other 3? This isn’t going to be the most toddler friendly. Even the baby center is lacking compared to the other parks.

Sure you have the Frozen Sing Along, Lightning McQueen, Disney Junior Dance party, but this park isn’t as interactive for the little ones.

In my opinion, this is the park to definitely be the strategic about with your genie+ and lightning lane selections.

Part 2 of the double napper schedule suggestions!

I really had to mull this over because there are so many different options and no one way is absolute. With this one however, I feel it balances disney for families with potentially more than 1 child.

This one leaves much to tackle after the afternoon nap, but that’s where stacking genie + for the evening and lightning lanes can really help.

Christmas events at the theme parks hold their own special magic. 🎄
