Another one of my guilty pleasures is piecework quitting -the smaller the pieces -the better. If I counted the amount of hours it takes to make one of these it would be even harder to let it go. But my joy is to release them into the world with the prayer that it brings someone else as much joy as I have received from making it.

I started hand quilting this quilt on July 24, 2024. I am over half way six months later. This is my relaxation work!. That sounds like rolling opposites up in one ball. It is slow going. Love it! Hope to finish this month🙂.

The idea for this quilt popped into my mind after the horrific shooting at the Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina. I thought to myself "and even the Angels Cried." That thought stayed with me and became this quilt.

What about a bubble coat on the quilt made with African fabric? This took a minute but I am real happy with how it turned out. This quilt has a lot of intricate parts but I'll sick with it. This one has boots too. I've been working on it for three months already. I can't even guess how much longer it will take. I'm loving it.

I'm working on something new. When it came to her boots, I wanted something that made a statement. This fabric from was just a perfect fit. I would really rock those.
