Happy Juneteenth! Today marks the oldest known celebration of the emancipation of slaves in the United States.

Here are 5 places you can go to learn more about the road to emancipation in the US:

☑️ The Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama: This museum is situated on a site in Montgomery where enslaved people were once warehoused and is a block from one of the most prominent slave auction spaces in America.

☑️ The National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC: This is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture.

☑️ St. Helena Island in South Carolina: Visit here to learn about the Gullah culture. The Gullah are known for preserving more of their African linguistic and cultural heritage than any other African-American community in the United States. Visit the Penn Center, one of the most significant African American historical and cultural institutions in existence today.

☑️ The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center in Cincinnati, Ohio: This museum is based on the history of the Underground Railroad.

Today is our last day, and it's a beautiful (HOT) day! We dropped into the Hollywood Hotel, piloted a mission on the Millennium Falcon, joined the Resistance, had a drink at Oga's Cantina, took a spin on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and caught up with our favorite Muppets. Still to come, Alien Swirling Saucers and Slinky Dog Dash before finishing the day with the Tower of Terror again!

Today has been the busiest day, but we still managed to snag almost all the attractions with Genie+ reservations to skip the standby queues - . I include my best tips with my touring plans to help you have the same success and get the most out of each day at Walt Disney World!

Lets talk about Tron. WOW! What a ride!! So smooth, so fast, thrilling but not scary and so much fun! The bikes are unique and the accessible seats were perfect for my folks who were concerned about loading quickly on the bikes and they enjoyed it immensely! Way to go Disney, we can't wait to ride it again next month!
