It just occurred to me that I never gave Dave his due… so CONGRATULATIONS Dave for winning the pool for the heaviest keeper Striper of 2024, weighing in at 12.33 lbs!!

I’ve know Dave for a long time, back from the Fish Finder days. First he got into a kayak, and from there got himself a Boston whaler, the Fluke Yeah. Many of you know I always make it a point to stop and talk to him out on the water. Well, this was his very first time out on the Jenny Lynn, and he won the pool 😆

Good afternoon folks! I’ve got a SPECIAL TRIP coming up unlike any other!!!!

Many of you have been asking about doing a night time trip, and you know I AIM to please!

Next week we are going to do a special DRONE HUNTING TRIP*! That’s right, leave your fishing rods behind and bring your guns for what will be an unforgettable trip for sure. Are they ours? Are they Chinese? Iranian? Extraterrestrial? Let’s find out! 😁

Fishing tomorrow!! Dress warm! Still 2 seats left for what will probably be the final sunset trip.

Monday and Tuesday are looking good with warmer air temps, before another cold spell sets in. Definitely trying to fish one or both days. Friday and Saturday are also looking good - let’s see how things progress over the next few days to get an idea of chances that forecast will hold. The migrant fish are finally making their way down the coast so hopefully the weather allows us to enjoy the “fall run” in December.

So to recap, fishing the 9th and 10th, and hopefully 13th and 14th as well.

Well folks, it’s been a long busy year with some VERY favorable weather. December is a tricky month though. Last weekend got blown out and it looks like the rest of the week is going to blow, as well as the beginning of next week.

Looks like we’ll get a lull on Saturday though, so both trips are on! Morning is full and 2 seats left for the sunset trip. After that, TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY are the next days on the schedule, and temps look to be back up to the mid 50s. 4 seats available.

The stripe, errr, I mean turkey, is in the oven!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Many families have a tradition of sharing things that they’re thankful for, and so I just wanted to take a minute to say how very thankful and grateful I am for all the love and support you all have shown me, AND for one another. One of the things that makes me the most happy is seeing the customer friendships that have developed as a result of their time spent on the Jenny Lynn. There are many things that set me apart from the rest, none more important than all of you ❤️

Another beautiful day!! In the morning we saw a couple fish early, then poked out front where we found some bird action. Unfortunately there were only spiny dogfish, and tons of them. After heading back in we found some more fish stacked up. In the afternoon Bob scored yet another keeper and Fred took one home too.

Oh and FYI - the floating channel markers have been pulled.

The weekend storm slowed things down earlier in the week but it’s heating back up! Water temps are still in the 50s, and here’s an EXCITING bit of information - one of todays fish had a sea louse (ocean parasite) on its fin, the first one I’ve seen which means the migrating fish are starting to arrive!!! That’s right, the fish we’ve been catching all month have been residents and now we are going to start seeing the migrants show up!

December fishing is set up for a strong showing, and I have the books open for the first two weeks. They may be the final weeks of 2024 , or they may not be! If the weather and conditions are good and the fish are still here, I’ll be fishing.

On a tangential note - I’m looking to do some pleasure fishing for tog on the party boats this winter and all are invited to join me when I go. Maybe up north out of the belmar area, maybe out of AC on the Osprey. More details to come.

While I’m bummed about having to cancel my trips yesterday, today and tomorrow, I really don’t have much to complain about with regards to the weather - it’s been a really, REALLY nice run. Back to it on Monday!

What a BEAUTIFUL day out there for mid to end of November!! I used to work for Ed in the off season doing carpentry, and it’s always special to get him out on the Jenny Lynn. I tried to get him his first Striper back in May but it didn’t work out. Today was his day, though, bagging a 30 and a 27 bonus fish! Tonight he found out the fish tastes better when you catch it vs being given it 😆

Trips for tomorrow are canceled for the excessive wind. The rest of the month is fully booked, so the next available trip is December 2nd.

Well, my long day got even longer after I fumbled the gas cap and watched it sink to the bottom 🤦‍♂️ of course the other day I was thinking to myself that I should get a backup.

The rest of the month is fully booked. With the weather looking good for the next couple weeks, December bookings are now open for the first two weeks.

Back to business today! The morning started off strong for the Sica’s charter - we had all 6 rods hit but only got 2 in the boat. After that we found a bunch of shorts. In addition to catching a slot, Joe became the latest winner of the First Fish Contest, and perhaps the last winner of 2024 with a spiny dogfish!

The sunset trip was more intimate with just Larry and his cousin Jeff. It didn’t take long to find a spot where they were stacked up and we hit ‘em hard! Couple fish were fortunate that I have a Striper in the fridge already 😁 Oh, and Jeff pulled up a 17 incher - smallest one I’ve ever seen.

One last minute seat for tomorrow’s sunset trip. Wednesday morning 1 seat. Thursday and Friday sunset trips available.

Next week Wednesday and Saturday sunset trips available.

With the weather we’re are having, Book’s been extended through second week of December.
