📣 Starting this Sunday, May 5, TSA security checkpoints will no longer be available from 1-3 a.m. After a review, TSA found no passenger demand during these times, allowing them to reallocate staff to address peak daytime demand.

DEN currently offers no flights after 1 a.m. and morning flights typically depart no earlier than 5 a.m.

If weather or delayed schedules result in irregular operations, TSA will consider adjustments to the screening checkpoint schedules on a case-by-case basis.

Today is the last post about Florida. Thank you all who have followed along this week!

Magic Kingdom is a magical place for all ages. There are so many different rides for all different ages. Magic Kingdom is the park that resembles Disneyland the most. You have different lands in the park including Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Frontierland. Each land is themed accordingly and has small rides for littles and roller coasters for those who are more adventurous.

There are also lots of opportunities for character meet and greets. The parade is incredible and the firework show with castle projections is something you have to experience to truly understand.

Disney offers many Magical Extras add ons in their parks. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (not mentioned this week) have the most options for Magical Extras. These are different tours and experiences that come at an extra cost but are totally worth it.

This trip, we decided to try the pre-show fireworks Seats and Treats Magical Extra. We sat on the Tomorrowland Terrace, at a reserved table, with the perfect view of the castle. We enjoyed an unlimited buffet of desserts and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and relaxed before the fireworks. We then were able to enjoy the fireworks right from our table while finishing our spread of sparkling cider, milk, lemonade, cookies, butterscotch pudding, chocolate dipped strawberries, and caramel apple crepes. We did not have to battle and crowds and it was much quieter in the terrace.

Today is all about EPCOT. This park has so much to offer. You can explore different countries through the world showcase while eating and drinking all sorts of delicacies. The rides in EPCOT are the best in any park in my opinion. There is something for everyone!

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is the newest roller coaster addition to EPCOT. currently there is a virtual queue that only allows a certain number of riders per day to ride. We were fortunate enough to get a boarding pass and experience this ride. It is my new favorite!

The new Moana water area is also incredible. The different water features had the kids fascinated for quite a while, allowing for a much needed break from the rides while still providing fun for them.

We visited during the Garden festival and were able to walk around and admire all sorts of beautiful topiaries throughout the park. It was amazing to see our favorite characters made into topiaries!

Let’s start talking about Walt Disney World parks! Today we will cover Hollywood Studios. This park has something for everyone in the family. Little kids will love the Disney Jr. portion the park, including meet and greets with characters such as Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, and Doc McStuffins. There is a Disney Jr. dance party show that allows kids to dance in an inside area with popular characters!

There are other shows for the family to enjoy as well. The Frozen sing-a-long show is a great way to escape the heat and enjoy a truly entertaining show. The Beauty and the Beast show is in an outdoor amphitheater and is spectacular. The Indiana Jones show is a unique adventure show only found at this park.

If you are looking for character interactions, Hollywood Studios is the place to go. There are queues for Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Olaf, and the live action Ariel, as well as the characters mentioned in the Disney Jr. area. There are also characters like Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Max, Chip and Dale, and the Incredibles walking around the park and taking pictures with guests.

Hollywood Studios also has some great rides and themed areas. Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is indescribable to walk through. This area is home to Rise of the Resistance, a trackless ride that takes you on a one of a kind adventure. Smuggler’s run, a simulator type ride, is also part of this area. Toy Story land is home to alien saucer swirl, slinky dog dash roller coaster, and Toy Story Mania. Another trackless ride is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

There is so much to do and see at Hollywood Studios that you will have no problem spending a full day there. This is one of my favorite parks for the family!

Today we will be taking a break from posts about theme parks and resorts. I want to take a minute to shout out Chris Dussia and her incredible business.

Have you ever been on vacation and found that you spent a ton of time doing your hair? I am not one who knows how to do much with my hair. This proves to be very difficult and time consuming while raising two girls.

Chris Dussia was my fairy godmother on our trip. She is a former cast member who spent her time working in the best spas on Walt Disney World property, creating gorgeous hairstyles for bridal parties and other events. After COVID shut down the spas, Chris decided to venture into her own business, bringing the magic straight to your door!

You read that correctly, friends! Chris came to our room at Disney’s Art of Animation resort and French braided our hair! She even sprinkled us with some pixie dust (hair glitter) that made my daughter light up.

The product that she uses ensures that the braids will stay. Our braids lasted the three days that we were in the parks. We received so many compliments on our hair and the best part was not having to worry about what our hair looked like for the rest of our trip!

The entire experience was incredible. Chris is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met. She is such a friendly and kind soul who loves what she does. She encompasses the magic of Disney and made our vacation extra special.

Let’s talk about a Walt Disney World resort that won’t break the bank! We decided that we would try a value resort this trip. We stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation and it was incredible.

This resort’s themeing is beyond words. There are vibrant colors in the lobby, tons of animation artwork, and even a chandelier that has different animation sketches. There are also 4 different sections of the resort, all themed differently; The Little Mermaid, Cars, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo.

We had reserved a room in The Little Mermaid section of the resort. This is the one section of standard rooms. This section is set up in a motel style, with the doors accessible on the outside. The family was excited for the amazing themeing of the room that we saw online.

Upon check-in, we found out that we were upgraded to a Cars suite at no cost! From what I’ve read, this happens often, but is based solely on luck. We got to our room and all I can say is WOW! The suite had two bathrooms, a room with a queen size bed, and a living area with a pull out sofa bed. We had a little kitchenette area and there was a really cute table with four chairs coming from the wall. It turned out that this was a convertible Murphy bed!

The themeing of the suite was amazing. Everything from the bathrooms to the dressers to even the floor tiles were Cars themed. Although the kids had their heart set on The Little Mermaid, they were ecstatic about Cars and especially the extra space and having their own beds!

Disney’s Art of Animation has the largest pool of any Walt Disney World resort. This was our first trip taking a rest day, specifically to check out the pool. I have to say, it was well worth it! The pool was in the Finding Nemo section, right outside of the lobby and food court. They had activities at the pool daily from 1-2:30pm which the kids loved participating in. The pool was clean and had a splash pad area for younger kids. There were also smaller pools in each of the other sections, all themed accordingly.

The entrance to each building in each section of the resort had giant statues of characters from the movies. The Cars section felt like we were walking through Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure. The themeing was so immersive and the kids were blown away.

There were other activities such as nightly movies at the pool, free campfires with marshmallow toasting (s’mores kits were an extra fee), and some arts and crafts classes (extra fee).

I have stayed at moderate and deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World and this value resort is by far my favorite. You have quick access to the Skyliner to get to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The buses to Magic Kingdom are on time and there are no extra stops. We have absolutely no complaints!

Today we are focusing on Legoland Florida. This park has a very different layout than Legoland California, and it is super cool! I cannot give enough credit to Legoland for the effort they have put in to make their parks sensory/autism friendly.

We did not spend very long at Legoland Florida since we were at Peppa Pig Theme Park for the majority of our day. However, we were able to walk through the entire park, check out the food options, and ride some fun rides.

My absolute favorite part of Legoland Florida was the Grand Carousel. I was so excited to see a dohble decker carousel that I forgot to even take a picture!

Mini Land Florida was incredible to walk through and look at all the details of every Lego creation. The water ride was also a favorite of many in our group. The kids enjoyed the jousting ride which is a kids only ride.

Although this visit was short, we were so glad that we were able to jump over and experience Legoland Florida after a fun day at Peppa Pig Theme Park. We are excited to plan a trip back where we can spend more time riding the rides.

Also, there were a lot of requests to stay at one of the Legoland resorts next time. The themeing on the outside of the hotels were incredible. A pirate themed hotel had a sea monster crushing a boat all made out of LEGO blocks! I cannot imagine how cool the interior is!

Today’s post is dedicated to Peppa Pig Theme Park! This is the perfect theme park for little kids who love Peppa Pig and do not have much experience with amusement parks/rides. This park is small, offering about 16 different attractions. It is housed in the same parking lot as Legoland Florida, meaning you can easily and quickly park hop!

Daddy Pig’s roller coaster is the best introduction to thrill rides/roller coasters. It has a small track that has no real dips for little kids. It has two turns that bank downwards and allows riders 36 inches and taller experience a fun and gentle roller coaster. The coolest part about this attraction is the line. You are taken through the Pig family’s house and can sit on the couch!

There are a few other rides that are very fun for the whole family, such as George’s dinosaur ride, Peppa’s hot air balloon spin, and Grampa Pig’s boat ride. They are all small and unintimidating for toddlers.

My favorite part of this park was the cinema. The cinema is an indoor air conditioned area that has huge bean bags on the floor for the kids to relax and watch episodes of Peppa Pig. This area provides the perfect place for kids to take a break without having to leave the theme park. There are benches along the back where parents can sit and enjoy some time out of the sun.

The diner has great theming, but to be honest, I was a little underwhelmed by the options and the price of the food; especially the entrees for adults. Many of the food options were not available and the gluten free option took over 30 minutes to be served. However, I must admit that the pb&j kids meal was a much larger portion than I expected, and incredibly healthy. I would suggest packing a lunch for this theme park to save time, money, and some frustration.

There is an outdoor show area that is a great shaded rest spot as well. The shows were very cute and kept the kids entertained for a few minutes. I loved that the shows were short and interactive.

There is also a really cute water park area that we did not experience (mom fail! I forgot the bathing suits at the hotel). All of the kids in the water park area were having a blast, climbing in the structures, enjoying the small slides, and running through the water features.

The staff told us that the park would take about 1-2 hours to complete. My kids had such an incredible time that we stayed for 5 hours before heading over to Legoland. The lines were short and the entire park was sensory friendly. If I lived in Florida, this would be a no doubt annual pass for my family!
