raveling with kids can be amazing, but it can also be overwhelming, expensive, and downright exhausting. After a few too many trips where we tried to “do it all” (and ended up completely burnt out), I realized there had to be a better way. That’s when I discovered the magic of mindful travel—focusing on purpose, connection, and strategies that make family trips unforgettable for all the right reasons. Now, I specialize in planning stress-free Disney vacations and meaningful family adventures that prioritize what matters most: time together, less chaos, and plenty of fun. I’m fun, laid-back, and ridiculously helpful, and I truly love guiding families through the planning process—whether it’s tackling Disney parks like a pro or finding hidden gems right in your hometown. Day 1 of is in the bag!

Can’t wait to show up tomorrow, this time with my daughter, to show her how fun it is to stand alongside complete strangers and enjoy music you had no idea other people liked half as much as you.

I feel like kids nowadays can be so isolated with their interests because we no longer have this monoculture of the same TV shows, same music, and same movies available or marketed to everyone.

While variety is so much better in so many ways, I’m looking forward to showing V that there are plenty of others who love what she loves, and that she isn’t alone. Not by a long shot ❤️

I’ve only explored about 3 blocks of Raleigh so far but I’ve made a few observations: it’s very green (so many trees!), it’s very small, and it’s very quiet. I’m sure I’m missing some stuff - what I’ve seen so far is cute, but what else is there?

Any suggestions? Who’s been to Raleigh?

📚Let’s talk books!

I’m a firm believer that reading nurtures the soul and stokes creativity - and they’re free! Use your local library and start reading or listening (most libraries offer audio and e-reader formats). ***You don’t need Amazon***

The books on the docket this month align with so many of my personal goals:

🪶 “The Year of Less” by is helping me get rooted in my true priorities and let go of long-held materialism

💰”Get Good with Money” by is continuing my journey toward personal wealth and financial freedom

🔮”The In-Betweens” by is reconnecting me to my spiritual side via a tour through history

🚐 “Epic Drives of the World” by is helping me dream big and add a few more items to my ever-growing bucket list.

What about you? What are you reading that fuels your fire? 🔥

Went on a little detour on the way home from school drop-offs this morning and found a great spot in downtown Buda!

There will eventually be a brewery, but for now there’s a cute coffee shop/bar, a few sweet boutiques, and a surprisingly good Cajun food spot.

I highly recommend checking out this area, especially if you’re going to any of the independent shops on Main Street. I’ll definitely be working this into my morning commute sometimes!

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been confronting my “why” for starting my business. Since I’m just getting things going, it’s been an adjustment balancing my day job, business, and personal life. But I had a big realization yesterday.

Yesterday, it hit me that my “day job” isn’t serving me or my family anymore. I work 10+ hour days. I regularly feel stressed and pressured during my workday. I’m helping my coworkers, but I’m not helping people achieve meaningful goals in their lives - and I’m not achieving any for myself.

Yesterday, I had a demotivating meeting and hit a wall. I cried at my desk, logged off, and realized that I’m sticking with this job because I’ve worked really hard for it and I don’t want to “give up” on what I’ve gained.

But, what I’m giving up *right now* is freedom. Financial freedom, mental health and stability, freedom to travel when I want, and freedom to be with my kids more than 2 hours a day.

I’m letting go of the idea that I have to have a 9-5 job (5-5 in real life) and go after what I’ve given up. Let’s get moving.

Headed to one of our favorite spots today - Austin Central Public Library! I love this branch for so many reasons: the light is incredible, the teen section is dedicated just for them (non-teens can explore the space but can’t sit and hang), and the book selection is the best in the city.

One big reason I’m devoted to building an online business is so I can one day go to the library on a Monday with my kids and not worry about meetings, calls, and crazy deadlines. I can just explore the book stacks and stay present with my kiddos.

My current morning read, by Kelly Rippon, is managing to teach me how to parent myself as much as my kids.

I come from a split household - my dad was stable, supportive, and encouraging while holding me to high academic standards. My mom, however, was either unsuccessfully trying to get sober, was reeling from major depression, or both. Needless to say, I had to grow up fast when my parents divorced at age 10.

Thanks, Kelly, for guiding this mom into a better version of what has come before so I can be a great parent to my two awesome, resilient, optimistic humans.

When was the last time you truly finished something? The last time you started from nothing, decided on a goal, and made it happen without quitting?

I love running races, but I hate running. Like, really hate it. I run because I crave the joy of finishing something hard. I love proving to myself that I have the willpower to literally start from 0.0 miles and end at 26.2.

I just started my online business from nothing, too. But I know I can cross the finish line, just like I have all those other times. And I can’t wait to see how I feel on the other side of the ribbon.

Thinking back to last week when I got to explore DC with my daughter for her birthday. We snagged some tickets, found a hotel, and managed to see some truly amazing museums and exhibits. Can’t wait to explore it again when my son is a bit older.
