My first full day in Ireland, so why not make it a challenging one? I boarded my tiny, counter-intuitive rental car and headed out to walk the Cliffs of Kilkee. I white-knuckled the teeny, narrow roads on a 20 minute drive through the countryside. I will say that what Ireland lacks in car size and road width, they more than make up for in beauty and hospitality. The two-mile walk along these stunning cliffs was only slightly challenging but enormously breath-taking and a comfort to my soul. Who needs a therapist when you have this kind of beauty to completely alter your outlook! And visitors decorate the entry with lovely artwork and sentiments on rocks from the beach. So fun to peruse through them! I ended the day with an amazing dinner at a well-known local eatery called Tubridy's in the tiny village of Doonbeg. I neglected to get pictures of the food, but take my word for it -- it was amazing! A good night's sleep and I'm ready for another day of adventure in Ireland!

Welcome to Ireland! This adventure has been an amazing experience and it's only just started. I decided to self-drive a portion of the trip and survived driving on the opposite side of the road, from the opposite side of the car, and standard transmission with my left hand. A challenge I am proud to say I met with full (but a little nervous) enthusiasm. I arrived at the stunning Trump International Resort in Doonbeg and they literally rolled out the red carpet. My suite an absolute beauty with a view of the 18th green on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. All politics aside - don't let your opinion of the name alter the reality of this property - this resort is the largest employer in the tiny village of Doonbeg. The revenue generated here stays here to support the town of less than 800 residents. They hold fund-raising tournaments to buy uniforms for local sports teams. Generations of families work here and it is engrained into the community. And we all know Trump does golf right. The links-style course has an ocean view from 16 of the 18 holes. You'll walk about 7 miles to play here (no golf carts allowed) and caddies are optional. If you choose to have a caddie, it's a local teen or young adult and every dollar you pay them goes into their pockets. I could not have been more impressed with the the property, the food, the golf course and the incredible staff. I'm in love with Ireland!

It warms my heart when clients send me pictures of their amazing trips! This particular trip was a 16th birthday celebration, complete with four broadway shows, a Central Park carriage ride, Tavern on the Green for lunch, Serendipity for dessert, Empire State, Top of the Rock, amazing dim sum in Chinatown, lots of shopping and getting to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in person! There is nothing like Christmas-time in NY!

I can also get tickets for 6th floor floor-to-ceiling-window-view brunch at Macy's for the 2023 Thanksgiving parade! Brunch and a parade without the crowd...best seat in the house! Time to start planning for 2023!

When you step inside the iconic iron gates you are instantly transported back in time to the height of Jazz Age elegance. The estate's original mansion, carriage house and formal gardens have come to life as a hotel and private club. It boasts elegant suites (dog friendly!) a craft cocktail bar, intimate gathering spaces and amazing food. You have to try the estate bread at Luties. It is melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness!
