Yet there are many areas of these cars that can be modernized without losing their character. There are many areas that can use improvement, such as engine cooling, alternator upgrades, etc. One big improvement is air conditioning. Currently we are in the final design phase for an AC kit for the Spitfire 1500 and Midget 1500. Once those come online, kits for the earlier Spitfires will be designed.
The kits will be complete save refrigerant, and will have detailed instructions for installation. Fuel injection is another area of interest to us, and there are several options. Curently there is one option that has piqued our interest, and we are anxious to see the final result. The more mundane items, such as 5 speed conversions and new top installations can also be handled, as well as interior retrims.
