It is a bitter sweet moment for us. We are here today to announce the sale of Sol Mate on Hatteras Island. We have embarked on a new chapter and are truly excited for that to begin. However, it is also with sadness, because we truly loved Sol Mate on Hatteras Island. It brought many days of joy to us and our family.
We want to THANK ALL of our guests for staying at Sol Mate and enjoying our home. We want to thank ALL OUR GUESTS for entrusting us with their vacation. We truly are grateful.

The new owners are Robert and Kedron Springer. We believe they are excited for their new journey as well. They will not be self-managing the home, but have the property managed through Midgett Realty. We have also been advised that the new owners are changing the name to “Terramar Dreams”. If you wish to stay there in the future, you will find the home at Midgett Realty website. We wish them success and enjoyment as they embark on their new journey.

Again, thank you to all who have enjoyed and stayed at our home. A new, exciting chapter lies ahead for us.

It’s been a whirlwind of a summer in Avon! With the 2023 vacation season wrapped down, we wanted to extend a BIG THANK YOU to all of our guests this year! We appreciate the fact that most guests respected our home and treated it as if it was theirs.

It is clear that Hatteras Island remains a very popular vacation destination. Sol Mate on Hatteras Island had its final peak week for the 2024 vacation season book today. The home is totally booked from May 18, 2024 to September 28, 2024. Incredible!
We still have availability for the week of May 4 and May 11. We also have all of October 2024 available.

Again, we extend a BIG THANKS to our guests!

This is the kind of stuff that causes serious injury and rising anger. People dig these deep holes in the sand, then just leave. Those holes cause serious injury and can collapse. PLEASE SOL MATE GUESTS, do not do this! Please cover what you dig. Realize simple hole digging can cause serious injury and in the case of a 17 year old earlier this year…. Death by suffocation. Be responsible guests and protect others who follow.

Another significant upgrade for the house for 2023! Just delivered within the hour, brand new seating in the theater!!!

These last two weeks we made some upgrades we think our guests are going to love. We’ve added major outdoor seating. We’ve added so many chairs to multi decks including two high top tables and chairs to third floor deck. We have also added loungers to pool deck and expanded tables on the pool deck. We’ve spent the week with deliveries and assemblage. We are sure FedEx is not fans of ours right now! We hope our guests enjoy!

We are in Hatteras getting the home ready for the summer vacation season . Tons of rain yesterday and today. We have refreshed our cabinet of games. Check out the new games added for family use and fun. We will be updating other amenities as well and wil post pictures!

Time and time again we see large holes dug on the beaches by guests. People, pets, and wildlife can fall into these holes, which can cause serious injury. Unfortunately, in this instance, it resulted in a senseless death of a young individual. We plead with our guests to be responsible. If you dig holes on the beach, please, please fill them back up before leaving the beach.

A 17-year-old male from Chesapeake, Virginia died on Saturday, May 6 as a result of being trapped under several feet of sand at Cape Hatteras National Seashore (Seashore) in Frisco.
