My great-grandfathers' 1887 hand-built log cabin was the first home on our farmstead that we restored in an effort to preserve history for another 100+ years of life. We share it and our 80-acre farm as a peaceful year around rural vacation rental home. Very few of these constructions from this era remain here. We recently heard from Destination Door County about this radio clip from Travel Wisconsin that was on Newsradio 620 WTMJ. Thank you so much to those who chose us for this mark of acknowledgement.

Our Sauerkraut is hand cut, fermented using only cabbage and salt. When ready for harvest it is vacuum packed and frozen in 1.5 lb. bags This keeps the beneficial bacteria alive. It's delicious raw and can be used on sandwiches, eaten as a side or used in various dishes. You can also cook with is, but the bacteria is sensitive to heat above 120F.
