The Ernst Quarries, located next to Sharktooth Hill, California, are home to one of the largest deposits of Miocene marine fossils in the world. The property sprawls over 260 acres and comprises of four distinct fossil quarries. Each fossil outcropping yields fossil specimens of different colors and varieties. Together, they offer a unique natural history experience not found anywhere else in the

world; and, are a treasured resource to the County of Kern and to the community of Bakersfield, California.
