For eclipse geeks: Here's a spiral diagram showing all the solar eclipses of the 21st century organized by Saros cycles. A Saros cycle lasts 18 years, 11 days, and 8 hours and results in cycle-adjacent solar eclipses of similar circumstances. The key difference is that the 8 hour difference results in a 120 degree longitudinal offset.

You'll see that next year's total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 is a member of Saros 139. It is preceded by a total eclipse on March 29, 2006 of duration 4 minutes and 7 seconds and succeeded by a total eclipse on April 20, 2042 of 4 minutes and 51 seconds.
