Gross' Orchard is a great place to visit while at Dragonfly Ridge. It's a wonderful local orchard full of amazing fresh fruits right in the shadow of the Peaks of Otter.

Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest is such a great local attraction that is a quick drive from Dragonfly Ridge. Something fun and historical to do while you're enjoying the bedford area.

Poplar Forest officially reopens for our 2021 season today with access to the grounds available everyday from 10am to 5pm! We are excited to welcome visitors to the property to see firsthand the restoration work taking place both inside and outside the historic house. If you are interested in visiting, we encourage you to purchase tickets at least 24 hours in advance as tour groups will be limited in size to ensure social distancing. COVID-19 safety measures will continue to be implemented with masks being required while on tours and in public buildings. The grounds will be cleaned and sanitized on a routine schedule and social distancing markers will be provided in buildings. We are looking forward to a brighter 2021 and we hope you are able to visit us soon!
