Join us for one of Grandfather Mountain’s most beautiful times of the year!

Each year, our blooming rhododendrons offer captivatingly vibrant scenes and herald the arrival of the summer season. Beginning May 27, included with admission, our Rhododendron Rambles will allow guests to join our naturalists for guided strolls where they will learn about the blooms’ history and significance to the mountain’s unique ecology.

The Rambles last 20 minutes and will begin at 1 p.m. daily, culminating in an All-Day Rhodo Ramble on June 4 from 11 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. featuring displays and interactive activities for all ages.

Looking for more than just skiing near Beechslapped condo. Take a drive to LINVILLE caverns and enjoy a unique tour inside the only publicly accessible cave in NC. Pack a picnic and play at the beautiful creek or drive a couple minutes to the LINVILLE waterfall while you wait for your tour time. Swing by Grandfather trout farm on your way back and catch dinner, everything you need is supplied for you. Bring back your catch of the day to cook up all that rainbow trout at the full kitchen at Beechslapped condo. Then go relax in the hot tub after a long day of fun.
