Everyone should have power restored now (2:45PM).

We just learned that the substation outside of town has lost power. This means a total outage in Belhaven. Dominion Power crews have not been able to give an estimate on how long before power is restored. (As of 12:31pm)

We will update as soon as we learn more.

Crews are still working to make repairs to our electric lines. There are still a few isolated issues around town they are trying to resolve. Thank you to our crews out working in this blistering cold and thank you for your patience while they get power restored.

As of 11am, we just learned that Dominion Power had to cut power into Belhaven for an emergency repair. We expect the outage to last 45 minutes.

There is no need to call to report this outage.

The Town has crews working to restore any outages that have occurred due to ice and falling limbs.

Reports indicate that the roads in and around Belhaven are dangerous. If you have to be out, please use extra caution.

The Town of Belhaven is following the lead of Beaufort County and will be closing early today at noon. We will open on a 2 hour delay on Thursday.

This year we will be adding a highly requested age division, Tiny Miss Indpendence ❤️

Tiny Miss | Ages 2-4
Little Miss | Ages 5-7
Junior Miss | Ages 8-10
Young Miss | Ages 11-13
Miss | Ages 14-16
Elite Miss | Ages 17-19

**For Tiny & Little Miss we will only accept 10 contestants in each division!

We plan to open up online registration on Friday, 3/14 so stay tuned for more details as we get closer.

From the February Town Council Meeting: Junk Cars are being flagged for removal. Letters are being mailed this week to property owners where these vehicles are located. This is the first step in a lengthy process outlined in the NC General Statutes. Options are available if you wish to voluntarily dispose of a vehicle. Call 252-943-3055 to hear those options.
