Hawkeye and Huckleberry is the HOTTEST 🔥🔥🔥 new restaurant in Bend! Celebrity Chef Brian Malarkey and his Brother James have created the coolest Modern Cowboy Bar that I’ve seen yet! Great for Happy Hour, intimate dinners and Large Groops alike! The ambience is a visual delight and their food is beyond! Our Ohana night out was a blast!

Clear Lake had been on my bucket list for a while. I finally got to check out this magical spot this summer with one of my besties from Kailua, Tara. It truly lived up to the hype! You can pull up and rent a kayak without prior reservations. We’d recommend paddling immediately to the left where the spring starts. The wildlife and clearity is mind blowing! And if that wasn’t gorgeous enough…take a left when you exit and across the street you’ll find Sahalie Falls!

Hi Friends!

My name is Rachel Barnette. I’m from Kailua, Hawai’i. Some of my Ohana moved to Bend in the 90’s and I’ve been visiting them since. I quickly fell in love with Bend..so much so that I bought a second home a few years ago and just started selling Real Estate in Bend part time so I’ll be in Bend more often, while still living on O’ahu full time.

The Hawai’i-Bend connection is STRONG! I started noticing that every time I come up to Bend I get a random message from a Hawai’i friend that they happen to be in town too! And more often than not, when I meet a new Bendite friend, I find out that they used to live in Hawai’i or simply just love Hawai’i and travel there often. I thought this page would be a fun and positive place for us all to connect, share fun stories of Bend and Hawai’i, as well as give local tips and insight to help out newbies to Bend.

I’m looking forward to connecting with you all and hopefully growing our community to meet some new faces as well!
