Join us today from 5:00 - 7:30 PM at Alumni Patio to learn about CELTS and service opportunities at Berea College!
On behalf of CELTS students and staff, we extend our gratitude to @bonnerfoundation and Ms. Liz Brandt for the visit and the insightful workshop on Ecosystems ✨🫂
Liz Brandt, Community Engagement Director at Bonner Foundation, visited Berea College and CELTS office yesterday, March 13, engaged in empowering conversations with core-staff, pro-staff, and labor students of CELTS, and provided a workshop at our weekly Labor Meeting💙
Thank you, Ms. Liz, and we hope to see you back soon!🫧
Service-Convocation is only a week away ⏰ This year, we’re joined by two wonderful speakers- OUITA KRISTIN and MICHEL SMITH 💙
“Award-winning Chefs and Restaurateurs Outa Michel and Kristin Smith source local foods to create fine cuisine, create welcoming food-based businesses, and empower individuals and communities through their work in and out of the kitchen.”
In short, you don’t wanna miss this convo on Thursday, Mar 21 📆😉

Today is the last day of the Hunger Hurts Food Drive! We are so THANKFUL for those of you who got the word out, donated, or otherwise supported the work of the Berea Food Bank.
It's also NOT TOO LATE TO DONATE - as little as a dollar makes a difference! www.bereaoutreach.org

Earlier this week, CELTS ended our last Labor Meeting of the year the same way we began our first Labor Meeting of the year - in a big circle in the Activities Room, seeing our beautiful community around us.
Our semester may be ending early, but the community-engaged work of CELTS students will continue!
Be well, wash your hands, and see you soon!
Food Drive 2018
Last year, 792 bags of food were donated to the Berea Community Food Bank! Let's see what we can do this year! Thank you to everyone who has donated, who continues to donate, and/or who plans to donate in the future. You are all very appreciated and are helping many people.
In honor of National Hunger and Homelessness Week, the weekly Spiritual Seekers meeting, sponsored by the Campus Christian Center and the Interfaith Youth Core, partnered with CELTS to have a meaningful conversation to debunk myths surrounding the issues of hunger and homelessness. Thank you to all who participated!
