About how our warm gun season has gone… nocturnal bucks… Trying to find this guy or his big compadres we know well tomorrow morning. Movement on ALL our farms by mature bucks has been little to none on camera. A little front is blowing in, so maybe the colder NW wind will help. Wish us luck! We might need it.

Pass them so they can blossom… We passed this deer the other night after rattling him in from his bed. Yes, 2nd Gun Season impromptu rattling. Try it if you don’t have any does around. We guessed him at 3yo, 4yo at the oldest if he is ran down from the rut. Still, a great pass from my hunter, and I can’t thank him enough. Last day for him tomorrow, so we are pulling out all of the stops. Then, it’s only Late Muzz guys left. Send it!

This buck went downwind on my hunter this morning and was 8yds from the tree. Dead to rights if he was a bit bigger. Picked my hunter off getting the hole to video. Hope he avoids the orange army and makes it another year! #mdloutfitters #iowawhitetails
