Last night we served our last Bunkhouse guests dinner… BBQ Chicken and fixings.. Sat at the bar and snacked with them. They had been guests in the past and wanted to come back one last time. They were kind as they were surrounded in boxes as I try to pack 7 rooms in a house that looks like a Costco inside.

It’s been such an experience living the life of hosts and enabling folks to enjoy a night or two away.. Most of our guests were local couples getting away for a weekend. We celebrated with you, laughed with you and hoped we added the right amount of ingredients to your time away.

We made many friends and I wouldn’t change that for the world.

Thanks for the memories and now this girl is shape shifting to a new beginning. We are grateful to have you all in our lives over the last 7 years. Cheers.

Hello Bunkhouse followers.
A few things for ya'all to be aware of:

1. We have a few dates open in June. July is booked, and August is good.

2. If you are a 'regular' We are starting to downsize and are having a yard sale this weekend if you want to come and say hi and pick up any items we don't use, would love to see you.

3. This will more than likely be our last year as we are planning to move to our downtown house - maybe end of this year or sometime next; with a few situations dependent. We love you all, so if you want to visit; late summer early fall is best.

4. If you love the house and might want to purchase it to be your own (not as the Bunkhouse) let me know. It will more than likely go on the market late summer.

We had the cutest couple visiting the Bunkhouse this weekend; road trippin for their anniversary. They said they didn't eat much and they spent 3 days sitting on the back patio reading, resting, painting rocks, and mapping out their next destination. Carl prepared this beautiful halibut on night one, and I made this non-dairy frittata this morning. They didn't eat dairy so we used Almond Ricotta and I have to say, it's a keeper. Not pictured Chicken/Vegi noodle primavera, and smoked ribs with homemade BBQ sauce for lunch.
