Throwback to Austin, Texas – February 20, 2019

Austin stole our hearts with its incredible vibe! We indulged in amazing food (seriously, the flavors were out of this world), soaked up the city’s eclectic art scene, and fell in love with its creative energy.

But the real highlight? Spending time with three adorable wiener dogs who made our stay unforgettable. They added so much joy and laughter to our trip. It wouldn’t have been the same without them!

Austin, you’re a city full of soul, and we can’t wait to return someday.

Weekend trip to Sun Valley, Idaho! Winter came a little late this year, but I'm so glad that it showed up just in time for our snowshoeing trip. We went to Galena Lodge and Trails for a hike in fresh pounder... and a local brew, of course.

Although I often yearn to be back out on the road again, it is hard not to be grateful for the beauty of my home state.

Happy National Pizza Day! 🍕✨

Let’s take a delicious trip down memory lane with some of the most memorable pizzas we’ve enjoyed around the world:

1️⃣ Skopje, Macedonia – Pastrmajlija! This long, oval-shaped pizza is a regional specialty, and we couldn’t get enough of its unique flavors.

2️⃣ Siderno, Italy – Our favorite neighborhood spot served a prosciutto, tomato, spinach, and burrata pizza we adored. Splitting it among three people always made the waiter laugh, apparently, it’s meant to be a single serving. 😂

3️⃣ Chicago, USA – Deep dish pizza heaven! The cheesy layers and thick crust make this style of pizza truly iconic.

4️⃣ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – KFC’s “Chizza” (Chicken + Pizza) is exactly as wild as it sounds. With fried chicken as the crust, it was a bold and delicious twist on pizza!

We were house sitting outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico about this time in 2019.

This sit still stands out as one of the coolest and most interesting we have had. Our home was completely off-grid out in the desert. Each afternoon, we sat in front of the giant windows looking out into the wild landscape, writing blog posts and novels. Every evening, we played backgammon by candlelight. It was truly magical.

Throw back to my Travel Show Host Phase. It didn't work out (obviously), but I still have so many great memories.

Here is a walking tour I made for the beautiful Guilin, China. I particularly enjoyed this one because it takes place at night, and really highlights some of the cities best evening features.

Guilin, China is a fantastic tourist destination, drawing tons of people from all over China and foreign lands each year. From the bustling market, towering Sun and Moon pagodas, to the gumdrop mountains, it has something to satisfy everyone.

This Guilin Walking Tour is focused on the top sights for an evening stroll, but if you have the time, it's worth it to do the loop during the daytime as well, especially since some of the attractions are only open during the day. The tour is laid out in a loop, so you can start wherever is most convenient for you.

Flashback to January 6, 2020, when Josh and I were in Athens, Greece!

This stop in Athens was meant to be just a quick layover between Dubai and Italy, but I wish we had stayed longer—what an amazing city!

I still laugh when I think about how we decided to save money on this leg of the trip (after a splurge-filled month in Dubai) by sticking to street food. Little did we know, that decision led to some of the most memorable meals of our travels. Giant gyros, flaky pastries, and fresh salads every day, all for a fraction of the cost. To this day, we joke about how "difficult" life was in Athens.

🎄A Golf Christmas in Scottsdale 🎄

This year, we skipped the presents and chose to make memories instead! Josh, Tammy, Jeff, and I hit the road for a week of sunshine and golf in Scottsdale. It was an incredible way to spend the holidays, with amazing courses, great company, and plenty of memories.

We stayed in a fantastic hotel that was both comfortable and centrally located—perfect for accessing Scottsdale's best golf.

⛳️ Over the week, we played golf at Silverado Golf Club and Talking Stick O’odham and Piipaash, and mini golf at PopStroke (designed by Tiger Woods).

We also stopped by TPC Scottsdale (home of the famous Waste Management Phoenix Open), Troon North, and Grayhawk. Even though we didn’t play all these courses, seeing them was inspiring!

🎉 The highlight? Josh broke 100 for the first time—a huge milestone!

On the way home, we stopped in Las Vegas to visit my sister and her family. We even squeezed in a round of Cosmic Golf, which was so much fun and a perfect way to wrap up the trip.

Memories made, milestones hit, and an unforgettable Christmas in the books. Here's to more adventures in 2025!
