Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Josh and I’m a father of 4, a Husband to an amazing woman, and a bit of a Travel nerd 🥸

I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, my mother raised me as a widowed woman, I had no brothers or sisters, so it was just me and her. She was such an inspiration to me, looking back at all of the places we went, on one household salary. Today’s day and age it just doesn’t seem possible.

She always told me I had “Gypsy blood”, because all I ever wanted to do was go places. See things. I never really understood what that meant (and honestly, I still really don’t!) but I got my love of travel from her. I will always cherish our road trips, she was always there for me as a venting board when I was going through challenges.

We lost my mother in July last year. We had planned a vacation together but unfortunately, timing for her to come hadn’t worked out. She insisted that she would be fine while we were away.

Unfortunately, she passed away while we were away and at first I felt a sense of guilt, but thank god for my wife, who helped me realize that she knew I needed this vacation. Mom, I love you so much, and I intend to bring you with me on every trip. I know you’re in a better place, and you’re happy.

This is just a part of my story, but it’s part of the reason why I stress the importance to live in the moments. No regrets, take those risks and do the things we want, see the things we want to see. Travel is my passion, and I want to share my passion with as many people as I can!

Embrace discomfort, because tomorrow’s not promised. Enjoyment is so much sweeter when you weren’t really sure if you could handle it. It’s not easy, but you have so many options.

A few years ago I was out visiting some of my best friends in Washington state and snapped this picture from an overlook of North Cascades National Park. I’m a man who loves a “good view”. It brings me peace, reminding me that we are such a small piece of this puzzle of a planet. I look at this picture everyday on my laptop for those zen moments when im a little stressed out at my full time job. Stress can be unbearable.

“Why would you use a travel agent in 2025? I know how to book my own airfare and hotel in kayak!”

Here’s the deal:

Websites like kayak/expedia/priceline etc are great websites for finding the “cheapest” option for hotels.

But what you may not realize, is that most items booked via travel, cars, hotels, excursions, even flights, all pay for the right to advertise. Those hotels sometimes pay a website 20-25% to use their platforms, meaning they make far less money from that customer, so what does that mean?

You will be given the least amenities. You will be the hotels lowest priority. Everything will cost you extra, since they’ve made less money from you, than somebody who has hotel rewards, or booked with a travel agent (like me!) who costs those companies far less!

Most of the time, travel agents are the EXACT same price as booking through discount sites, but because our platform charges the hotel less, YOU get MORE!

Here’s an example.

I have my sites set on a specific resort in Miami, I picked a random weekend in may, 4 days, 3 nights at the world famous Fontainebleau resort in Miami, May 15th-18th. Our rates booking with me on Fora come to 251$ a night, with perks, that include an oceanfront room, amongst others.

After going on kayak to find the same resort, after scrolling for ages, going on google maps to locate where exactly on Miami beach the resort actually is, then scrolling more, i finally found it. 248$ a night. All that work to save the cost of half a coffee at starbucks. And theres no amenities. Enjoy that view of the dumpsters, or the buildings HVAC system!

Guys, i promise you i can save you that effort, and aggrivation. Hell, I’ll buy you a coffee if you want! Just ask me what i can do for you, and if i cant help, thats fine! Im here to advise, were not selling timeshares here.

My name is Josh, and this is my home team.

Our family has seen some amazing things together. I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Maeghan for over 12 years now, and it’s been the single greatest thing thats ever happened to me. It’s this family i plan to live through when i age, and this year, well be growing, when my 2 oldest get married this year. We cant be more excited for the road ahead!

We may not have many more family trips together, so when the opportunity presents itself, we don’t take it for granted. I know I’m quirky, could be annoying at times about plans, and god knows, I’m the dad joke king of the world! But I whole-heartedly know these people will always hold me up.

Enjoy them while you can, and make the most of it. We never get time back, so take advantage of the time you have here!
