My only wish with the eclipse tomorrow, is that more people realize that we actually live in a planet. A planet that is so freaking incredible we really shouldn't need an eclipse for us to be amazed. The day I took this picture is was so amazed by Nature, no eclipse, no double rainbow, just Nature. I was so happy and so full I literally wanted to cry of happiness. I honestly think we often forget how incredible it is and end up thinking that the resources are there for us to explode and take advantage of, that somehow they're there FOR us, or even worse, that they belong TO us.... With everything that's happening in the world and especially this country these days it literally breaks my heart in ways that I can't even begin to explain. So much fear, hate, denial. And honestly sometimes it feels like the whole world has gone crazy. Nature is one of the few things that keep me sane these days. And friends, thank god for friends. 🙏 So when you look at that little dot tomorrow, then half dot, and then gone, just remember that's kind of what's happening. The light is getting dimmed, unless we really wake up. My advice? Spot blaming everybody else and start doing what you can: recycle, compost, use less water, lower water heater in the summer, don't leave AC on while your gone, etc. All those little things that we can do that make a huge difference, it really starts with us and what we do in our daily life... and it's really not so hard if you start with one thing at the time. Anyways, that's all I got. Hope you made it this far on my long, endless post. And enjoy the eclipse!!!
