Arguably our county’s most popular coastal dune lake, this S-shaped outfall in Western Lake flows through Grayton Beach State Park and into the Gulf of Mexico 🌊 after rain storms push the water levels over the sand.

In addition to maintaining the exchange of fresh and salt water, the outfalls also help to control the lakes from flooding.

Pretty cool, huh?!
