With deer season winding down, the fish are no longer safe. I will be guiding for bass and crappie this winter. Guiding is the greatest job I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. That said tough days happen and yesterday was a tough fishing day for me. My guests were amazing, but we just couldn’t get a lot going.

This morning, I was concerned it could be another very difficult day, but I was wrong. The fish bit better than they have in some time!

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with some of my favorite repeat clients. The son unfortunately is unable to hear; communication is through sign langauge. When he catches a fish, the joy he has is contagious, humbling, even almost overwhelming. It was a great day, and I absolutely cannot wait to see this family again. They should charge me for getting to take them!

Special thanks to my buddy Jacob Wade / Real Deal Guide Service for sending me to a spot we caught more than half of our fish on.
