Earlier this month I hosted my first yoga/adventure retreat.
The inspiration came after a cross country, car camping road trip with my BFF and reading “Earth is Hiring” by .
Beginning this new endeavor was by far the most vulnerable thing I’ve ever done and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more raw and exposed.
The imposter syndrome was real and the self promotion was insanely uncomfortable for me.
I didn’t think anyone would join.. let alone that it would sell out.🤯
There’s no way I could have seen this to fruition without the endless support from my husband and encouragement from my friends (you know who you are).
At several moments they saw in me what I couldn’t see in myself and at most points, believed in me more than I did.
Even still, nightmares of losing people’s luggage or the resort being a scam/not existing played on repeat almost every night.
But just as a mother quickly forgets the pain of labor after she sees her baby, the second I stepped out of the car rental place and saw a group of women, most of whom had never met, standing in a circle and laughing hysterically.. everything felt RIGHT.
What transpired from there was nothing short of magic.
These beautiful strangers became friends instantly. Sharing tears, struggles, stories and lots and LOTS of laughs.
I’m not sure I’ve loved anything more than creating the container for memories to be made and then getting a front row seat to watch it all unfold.
And now I can’t wait to do it all over again in Moab* (my favorite place in the world) but until then, here are some of my favorite images that I captured of the
