Edith Macy Center provides: Over 14,000 square feet of total meeting space. Ergonomic chairs in all conference center rooms. Individually climate-controlled conference rooms. Built-in sound systems and retractable screens. White boards in all conference rooms. Standard audiovisual equipment is provided, wireless Internet available in all conference rooms.

Situated on the Edith Macy property lies the John J. Creedon Education Center. This facility is designed specifically to provide a secluded, natural setting for confidential meetings or just to get away from it all. Groups of 20-40 can take advantage of The Gathering Place and make it an extension of their own business. It features a Leadership Circle with a massive stone fireplace, two spacious meeting rooms, two classrooms, two breakout rooms, a dining cafe and two spacious decks.

The lakeside property predates Macy. This piece of the property was given to the Girl Scout organization in 1920 by Senator and Mrs. William A. Clark, whose daughter, Andree Clark, died when she was just 16. When the family read their daughter’s diary after her death, they realized how important Girl Scouting had been to her. In memory of their daughter, they decided to give the property to the organization to be used for a camp for older girls. It was from this site in the early 20’s that Jane Deeter Rippin, then Girl Scout National Director; Juliette Low, Girl Scout founder; and Edith Macy, then Chairman of the National Board of Directors of the organization, dreamed about purchasing the site across the road (now Edith Macy Conference Center) for a Girl Scout training school for adults.

All the guests have left for the Holidays and the dining room is empty. That must mean the Macy Team is closing up until 2020...
And so I am leaving for the North Pole until next year.

Look how comfy the guest rooms are at Edith Macy Center. I have tried every pillow and they are super cozy….They remind me of my bed at the North Pole. And they even have yummy snacks for a late evening treat.

Look how beautiful Edith Macy Center is when a fresh snow falls in Westchester County, New York. The 405 acres of countryside is perfect for those wanting a serene location for their next retreat experience.
Do you see the building in the distant background? The one between the trees? That is Great Hall. The oldest building on our property. It was built in 1926 as the first training location for Girl Scouts of the USA. It is still used today for private receptions and pinning ceremonies.
