Sadly, many of our "Winter Texans" have headed home or are preparing for their trip. We were very happy to see many of our Canadian friends return.

Another wonderful season was had by all, and it is due in large part to the many volunteers who sit on committees, help at functions, etc. Thank you! Thank you! Also, many thanks to our office staff (for all the assistance they provide to our shareholders and guests) and to our maintance employees (who ensure that the park always looks wonderful).

At one of our recent Saturday morning coffee breaks, this poem was read out and it says so much about our park. (No author's name was given and some words were changed from the original)

Palm Resaca is like a magnet
That draws us back each year.
And the friends that we have made here
We hold very dear.
As we travel down the highway
getting closer mile by mile.
We know that when we get there
we are greeted with a smile.
For here we're all like family
that are visiting for a while.
There our many friends arrive
Palm Resaca just comes alive.
When we gather around for coffee
the circle grows larger day by day
there's a lot of fun and humor
in what old folks have to say.
Then there's the games and parties.
Oh how time does fly.
It seems that we just got here
and it's time to say good-bye.
Now it's time to pack the car
with all the things we brought
and hope there is room enough
for all the things we bought.
Then we will be on our way
thank-you for a pleasant stay.
We hope to see you all again
next year.
