Snowy winter walk to enjoy the wildlife and beauty in a local cemetery. Two of these deer have leucism which causes a partial or full loss of pigmentation. This differs from albinism as their eye pigmentation is not impacted. ❄️

Alaska, home of intact ecosystems and incredible beauty.

We are all on a journey and learning as we go. If anyone thinks “I’ve learned it all”, well they would be sorely mistaken. There is always more to learn and wisdom to be gained from others. I had the joy of joining another guide Earth Spirit Excursions to continue growing as a guide and learn from someone who has been guiding in Alaska for 20+ years. Nothing compares to hands on experiences and I feel incredibly lucky to have had the privilege of going to Alaska with such a great guide and group of people. You truly learn so much about others and yourself when you step out of your comfort zone and share adventures with people who may have started out as strangers, but end as friends.

We witnessed grizzly bears, black bears, moose, caribou, bald eagles, golden eagles, Dall sheep, porcupine, pika, marmots, puffins, ptarmigans, beluga, sea lions, harbor seals, otters and endless salmon. We foraged for berries, viewed multiple glaciers and hiked to some phenomenal views.

If you’ve always wanted to go to Alaska, this is your sign to go. Take the leap and go 💜

Phenomenal wildlife viewing opportunities! We spotted moose, elk, big horn sheep, mule deer, black bears, coyotes and a wide variety of birds including the Stellar’s Jay, who became a favorite of ours!
