Hello Friends!! we have been taking advantage of this bitter cold weather to work on a potential plan for a food truck/trailer for this coming spring/summer. It is a risky business and there are 1 million hoops to jump through so we are just getting started, but I would love any input on menu items and a name for the truck/trailer! Thanks! 😁🦞🍾🇺🇸

Maine’s refusal to comply with the regulation does not come without potential consequences. Lobstermen said it's worth the risk.

Update!! Ok , I am officially sold out of lobsters until further notice. As you can see from the photos, it’s off-season in Maine and lobster prices are high. I may bring a few in for Valentine’s Day if the price is reasonable. Stay warm and healthy my friends! 🥃

Hello Friends! I wanted to share with everyone what is happening with the Maine lobster industry in 2025. We don’t have the landing numbers for 2024 yet, but I believe it was a pretty strong year. But, despite this, some Maine government “researchers“ are forcing us to increase the size of our Lobster measure, and next year we will have to throw back the 1 pound and 1 1/8 pound lobsters.

This is going to create a huge shortage of available live lobsters, but more importantly, lobster meat for all of the restaurants, cruise ships, lobster roll trucks, and supermarkets in this country and around the world.

We are a victim of our own success because landings were down in 2023 but still we caught 93,000,000 pounds, which is what we used to catch in the 2000s. The record catches in 2016 of 132 million pounds was unusually high and ups and downs should be expected.

Ask any fisherman how many egg bearing female lobsters they catch now compared to 20 years ago and they will all tell you the numbers have increased dramatically. Regardless, next year may be difficult for many of us to stay in business.

My wife and I are looking into the process of starting a food truck or trailer and there are 1 million hoops to jump through so we will be very busy this winter working on that and a menu. I will let everyone know what is happening with periodic updates on this page. As always, thank you all for supporting my business over the last 15 years! The Lobstah Guy 😁🦞

Happy New Year Everyone!!! And thanks to you all for supporting my business in these tough economic times. I’ve been in the lobster business 35 years and it’s my love and life. 🦞🇺🇸

For those picking up lobsters today, I am open and I also have about 40 extra fresh caught Maine 1.25-1.5 pounders brought in yesterday ($15.85 #) 207-751-9151. This may be the last haul for awhile due to the cold weather coming up.
