Tommy LiPuma. This video is from his 80th birthday in Cleveland in June 2016. It was a beautiful, happy time with Tommy surrounded by all his loved ones and friends.
I had the privilege and the best time working with the legend and can rightfully say he is responsible and the reason I do what I do. He is and always will be the quintessential musical producer in all genres of music. His Jazz sense and ear for really, any kind of music was always the best!
We lost Tommy last night and all of our hearts are broken. I will Miss you my dear friend, thank you for everything you've taught and done for me. All of the people you've touched are for sure better now that we have had the chance to spend time with you. You will be missed. I love you Tommy. Thank you. Rest well my friend and we'll groove again soon babe.
