🎉 Happy 96th birthday, Mickey! Here are a few things you may not know about the world's most famous mouse! 🎂

1: Mickey is 96, but so is Minnie - from the start, Minnie Mouse appeared by Mickey's side.

2: Nov. 18 has only been Mickey’s official birthday since 1978 - it was settled on as Nov. 18 as it was the day "Steamboat Willie" debuted at the Colony Theater in New York City.

3: ‘Steamboat Willie’ is not the first Mickey Mouse cartoon - his first film, “Plane Crazy,” was given a test screening in May of 1928.

4: Mickey’s famous falsetto was voiced originally by Walt Disney - Mickey first spoke in his ninth film, with the words "Hot dog!"

5: Mickey wasn’t Disney’s first star - Oswald the Lucky Rabbit became a Hollywood hit in 1927 and 1928.

My morning coffee comes a little later these days as I recently started intermittent fasting in an effort to feel better and more energetic overall - and it’s working!

Walt Disney World Resort has Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. But did you know from 1976 to 2001, River Country was Disney World's first water park? It closed for health concerns with the Bay Lake water that was sourced to the park. The wilderness-themed park kind of looked like Tom Sawyer Island, complete with rope swings and flume rides. However, until a few years ago it was still on the side of Bay Lake. Disney never tore down the water park after it was closed. It sat abandoned for almost 20 years until it was demolished in 2018ish and filled in to begin construction on Reflections: A Lakeside Resort. The construction of Reflections has since been cancelled, but there are hints that it may be once again a future Disney resort. We shall see!

I bought this oh so pretty gingerbread house from Aldi yesterday. It’s from a set of three and I cannot find the other two anywhere. I tired to Instacart at least ten ALDIs in the Pittsburgh area with zero success. If anyone who is not in the area finds the two smaller houses at their local Aldi, please let me know. Better yet, pick them up for me, pretty please! They are $9.99. ❤️

I finally did it……..

My entire adult life I’ve wanted a regular sized Christmas Tree in my master bedroom. 🌲

I saw this one months ago and took the plunge….and I JUST LOVE IT! 😍

I haven’t decided if I’m going to decorate it yet with a few velvet bows or just leave it plain and simple. But guys, the lights TWINKLE and it makes me soooo happy!
