Been having an amazing time on my Virgin Voyages cruise!! Truly an amazing ship and the food…..the food…..is so good!!

What I’ve enjoyed the most as of now:
- No kids! Really makes it a relaxing and laid back vibe.
- The food! From the Galley’s multiple options and the restaurants have yet to eat anything that wasn’t fantastic! (I keep forgeting to take food pictures 🙈)
- The option to plan and eat when you choose without being time bound. Has been easy to change dinner reservations as we change plans.
- The staff has been fantastic and so very kind!
- The spa! We bought a multi day spa access pass and it was best money spent!

Today is a pool day and will report out later in the week on entertainment!

Honoring Veterans Day in the Most Magical Way 🇺🇸✨

This August I had the incredible honor of being recognized as Veteran of the Day at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. It’s hard to put into words how special and humbling this experience was.

I was invited to participate in the Flag Retreat Ceremony, a deeply moving tradition that takes place every evening at Disney parks to honor the U.S. military. During this ceremony, the American flag is lowered with full military honors, accompanied by a playing of the national anthem and a special tribute to those who have served. It’s a beautiful, solemn moment that reminds us all of the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.

Marching down Main Street USA, I was surrounded by the magic of Disney, but more importantly, by a community of cast members, families, and fellow guests who truly showed their respect and appreciation. The Color Guard led the ceremony with precision and pride, while the Dapper Dans filled the air with uplifting patriotic music. The Main Street Philharmonic added to the grandeur of the moment, making it feel like something truly extraordinary.

Being recognized by the cast members was incredibly humbling. Their warmth and recognition made me feel so valued, not just as a veteran, but as part of the larger community. This Veterans Day, I’m reminded of the importance of service, sacrifice, and the power of tradition.

A huge thank you to Disney for making this experience one I will treasure forever. It’s moments like these that reinforce the magic of honoring those who’ve served. 🙏🇺🇸💫
