We are in the clear now.

: Hurricane has made landfall in Florida as a Category 1 with 80 mph near Steinhatchee this morning. Its landfall is only 15 miles away from Hurricane Idalia last year.

In Southwest Florida today tides will be elevated with some minor coastal flooding, but not as high as yesterday from the 2 - 4 feet of storm surge. Remaining breezy with occasional tail-end bands of heavy rain.

Update on Tropical Storm Debby.

: Tropical Storm has formed at 5 PM. The storm is now projected to make landfall along the Florida Big Bend on Monday as a Category 1 Hurricane. Hurricane Warnings were just issued for the area. For Southwest Florida, despite the name, same expectations. Worst of it stays offshore. For us it’ll be a rainmaker with tropical storm conditions, gusty wind and 2 - 3 ft surge. Localized flooding possible. I'll continue to keep you updated on WINK.
