We’ve been getting a lot of inquiries about sold out tours! Once tours are sold out, they’re sold out, so book early for best availability. We’ve had high demand lately so we recommend booking at least 1 week ahead for best availability.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and positivity, and can’t wait to bring even more spookiness to the streets of Cape May throughout September and October. Summer may be winding down but we were still hot on the trail of Cape May’s ghosts last weekend with both of our Thursday tours selling out along with our 8:30 tours on Friday and Saturday! We’ll be heading out on Ghost Capers this Labor Day weekend at 7:00 and 8:30 PM Thursday through Sunday before we switch to our September schedule of 7:30 PM Friday through Sunday. The passing storm may have kept us at bay Saturday night, but our 8:30 tours on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday were all sold out thanks to another intrepid group of ghost hunters! Weather Update for 8/21: Regretfully, we are canceling both the 7:00 and 8:30 tours tonight due to the threat of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and both flash and tidal flooding associated with the passing of Tropical Storm Henri. All attendees will receive full refunds via Eventbrite. Stay safe!

It was a dark and stormy night this Friday the 13th, but luck was on our side and our Ghost Capers were able to proceed in full force! It seems like the spirits were out in full force too, since multiple guests snapped ghost orbs on camera! We’ll be hitting the streets again starting Thursday evening, and next Sunday is a full moon if you want an extra bit of magic for your tour 🌕 👻 Check our events tab for tickets!

For over 150 years, the Southern Mansion has been hosting glamorous parties on its beautiful grounds . . . but for the past 75 years, it has also been playing host to an uninvited guest! In fact, this haunting is so famous that it was once featured in an episode of the TV series Ghost Hunters, and it's also the first stop on our haunted Cape May walking tour! We just finished our biggest weekend of Cape May ghost tours yet, with sold out tours on Thursday and Sunday, and nearly sold out tours on Friday and Saturday! We had a blast showing our ghost hunters the haunted sites of Cape May under the light of the full moon, and it seems like the ghosts were right there with us as multiple guests captured spirit orbs on camera! We’ll be out again next Thursday through Sunday at 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM if you want to see if you can spot some spooks yourself 👻

The shadow of war haunts many places, and Cape May is no exception. Cape May has been touched by multiple wars, especially World War I and World War II, which saw significant local contributions from the Coast Guard and the Navy. But Cape May also has some surprising connections to the Civil War, when this region was torn between loyalty to the Union and Confederate sympathy due to the area's past as plantation land. But thanks to local hero Henry Washington Sawyer, Cape May's support quickly swung firmly in favor of the Union. Who do you think might be lurking behind this window of the John F. Craig House on Columbia Avenue? Craig was the President of the Cape May Cottagers' Association at the turn of the last century, and his three daughters were extremely popular in Cape May society. But tragically, the eldest Craig sister, Gertrude, died in the prime of her life of liver cancer. However, it seems like this former social butterfly might still be flitting about her old summer home! Thanks to everyone who joined us for this weekend’s Ghost Capers! We had a real crowd of ghost hunters on Thursday with one sold-out tour and one nearly sold out. This building is now part of the Queen Victoria B&B, but it was actually once a pharmacy that sold Hershey's chocolate bars, Whitman's candy, and Fralinger's saltwater taffy among other familiar favorites. That is, until Prohibition came along and sweets were swapped for something stronger! One of Cape May's most famous ghost stories takes place in the George Baum House, for years known as the Windward B&B. The story goes that an Irish maid named Bridget haunts one of the bedrooms, but in our investigation through historical documents, we turned up some new clues pointing to an entirely different identity for the phantom lady of Windward . . . join us this weekend on our haunted Cape May walking tour to get the real scoop! On this day in 1863, Captain Henry Washington Sawyer of the Union's First New Jersey Cavalry wrote a shocking farewell letter to his wife from the infamous Libby Prison. Sawyer and his fellow captives of the Confederacy had been forced to draw lots in what was called the Lottery of Death, and Sawyer was one of the two unlucky winners. But in an amazing turn of events, Sawyer managed to escape certain death and eventually returned to his hometown of Cape May to open the Chalfonte Hotel. The hotel is still going strong today . . . and as legend has it, so is Sawyer's ghost. What do you like to do on your Cape May vacation? In the resort's golden age at the turn of the last century, visitors would go swimming in the ocean, play golf, and attend dances at the local hotels. Some of the gentlemen also enjoyed evenings at private gambling clubs, like Jackson's Clubhouse on Columbia Avenue! Can you feel the spirit of the past in Cape May today?
