Blue Hawaii is located 34.5 miles south of the Kailua-Kona airport (KOA), and is located in a very secluded private community called Kona Paradise about 45 minutes south of Kailua Kona. (Hwy 11 is a two-lane road with a 45 MPH speed limit, winding and very dark at night - hey you're on an island, what can I say). The home is one story-NO stairs. Easy access, with off-street parking.
You will be close to the Pacific Ocean, near Captain Cook, and within 90 minutes to Volcanoes National Park (Kilauea). This is where you come for peace and quiet. To stare at the stars, listen to the waves crash and hear tropical birds and wild animals every day and night. If you want to hang in Kona - you're only a 45-minute drive away.
Blue Hawaii is set on ancient lava flows, overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean. The King's Trail, an ancient volcanic cinder cone, a private pebble beach (1/2 mile away by car-4 minutes to the water), and some of the best snorkeling/diving on the Kona coast (NO Sand-great visibility). The water is so perfect for diving and snorkeling, that the infamous “Aggressor “, dive boat, anchors off our community's coastline daily.
