The Orange Bird was created in 1970 by Disney and the Florida Citrus Commission in exchange for the Commission’s Sponsorship of the Tiki Room in Magic Kingdom. It was used in ads for Florida oranges at the time. The campaign ended and other than a few nutrition education spots, the Orange Bird disappeared in the late 1970’s. It reappeared at Tokyo Disneyland merchandise in Japan in 2004 and returned to the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Magic Kingdom in 2012. Since then, it’s made a great revival in Adventureland, Disney Springs and EPCOT where its the star of this year’s Flower and Garden festival! I couldn’t resist this year’s Orange Bird ears, shoulder pal, pin and t-shirt! I resisted the bucket hat but really wanted it! 🧡🍊

⭐️EARLY THEME PARK ENTRY for Resort Hotel Guests⭐️
Starting October 1, 2021, as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration, Guests of Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels can get a 30-minute jump on their Disney day with early theme park entry — available at all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks.

Early theme park entry gives you a head start in the parks, so you’ll have access to select attractions, shops and dining before regular hours. And, you can enjoy this benefit on each day of your stay — in any park, subject to capacity.

For early theme park entry, you’ll need valid admission, a park reservation and Resort ID.

⭐️EXTENDED EVENING THEME PARK HOURS⭐️
Also beginning in October, Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels or Disney Deluxe Villas and other select hotels can enjoy extended evening hours — experiencing select attractions, shops and dining after regular park hours — in select theme parks on select nights.

For extended evening hours, you’ll need a valid Resort ID, valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. (Or a ticket or annual pass with the Park Hopper Option, provided you entered the park where you made your reservation earlier in the day.)

October 4 — EPCOT — 10:00PM to Midnight
October 6 — Magic Kingdom — 9:00PM to 11:00PM
October 11 — EPCOT — 10:00PM to Midnight
October 13 — Magic Kingdom — 9:00PM to 11:00PM
