If I had one word to describe Jamie and Jake’s wedding day, it would be perfect. Although, I can’t pin point exactly what it was that made it perfect… Maybe it was the way Jamie’s eyes welled up with tears when she saw her dad for the first time that day. And the way she teared up again at the reception when they danced their Father/Daughter dance. Maybe it was the way Jake was always willing to take pictures outside, even though he was wearing a suit in 105 degree weather… and he did with a smile on his face... Or maybe it’s just because Jamie and Jake are perfect for each other. When you see them interact, you’ll easily see why. Their personalities mesh so well together. They are best friends who have mutual respect for each other and I know that will be a foundation their marriage will grow upon in the upcoming years! Got this great review today! Loved working with Jamie last month:

Kevin was our DJ and was great. He was super affordable. He didn't put a time restriction on our day which is awesome. You will find as you interview different DJ's for your day that they all want to get paid more depending on the length of time they are there. Kevin simply said I come when the event is going to start, and I leave when it is over. He was organized, and kept us on track with our timeline through out the evening. We gave him our list of songs for the usual stuff (grand entry, first dance, etc.) and told him what type of music we enjoy and he took care of the rest. Our family the next day was making comments of what a good music selection he played. I would recommend him to anyone!

I uploaded a video of the reception last Saturday, where everyone was dancing to Single Ladies at 11:30pm. Unfortunately, the audio was so clear that Facebook has informed me that it's a copyright infringement and took it down. I guess that's the price of having great audio equipment...

Don't try this at home (lol). First time seeing a fire dancer at a wedding reception. He was very good and very entertaining. My only contribution was providing the red wash on the walls around the room. I can't imagine it would've been as fun with just hotel lights...

Here's a low-quality video showing a red-blue light effect on the dance floor and in the room. The uplights alternate red/blue with the music, as do the dance lights on the floor. Really made for a nice dance area. With uplights surrounding the room, I was able to turn off all of the ceiling lights and still have plenty of visibility with candles on the tables and uplights washing the walls. (gotta love old Jackson 5 songs too)
