SINGING BOWL CLASS AT THE GARDENS!
Ann Martin and her singing bowls are BACK at the Denver Botanic Gardens on February 23rd, 5:30 - 7:30pm, for a hands-on class called, "Singing Bowl FUNdamentals." We will work in pairs, both giving and receiving, and learn modern techniques with the bowls that can improve the lives of others. Ann presents practical instruction focusing on how bowls can relieve pain, reduce stress, calm the nervous system and relax muscle tension. Singing bowls and instructional booklets are provided. If you have a singing bowl, feel free to bring it. No experience is necessary. See you in class!

NEW GONG AT THE SALT CAVE!
My new "Deep Breath" Chau Gong and I are just getting to know each other. It offers a curled rim to help focus the sound, combined with the dark unlathed center that provides great sustain while holding the crash in. The deep lasting tones of this gong are said to support spiritual and emotional healing.

HAPPY FALL EQUINOX!
Ann Martin helped the Denver Botanic Gardens "tune-in" to fall with a special meditative sound journey. Participants filled Mitchell Hall and enjoyed a variety of new sound experiences including two Rectigongs from Italy, "The Bajinn" chime drum from Israel, and a haunting chant with the Heart Buffalo drum. The event ended with an energizing gong sound bath from the 36" OM gong, and then dark chocolate treats for all! MEADOW MEDITATION!
Very special clients of mine wanted to offer a gratitude gathering for friends and family in their spectacular backyard in Evergreen. The gong and singing bowls sounded heavenly, in concert with natures' songs. The birds, breeze, and bugs were right on "cue" and the sun shone warm on this September morning. Although most in attendance had never experienced a meditative sound journey, they opened to the healing sounds and agreed it was a great way to start the day! DENVER SHERIFF'S ENJOY GONG!
I was honored to offer a meditative sound journey for the Denver Sheriff's "Tactical Wellness Day" held at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Most had never experienced a sound meditation with singing bowls, ocean drum, crystal pyramid, and 36" gong. Many participants were curious about playing the instruments after the sound bath was over. It is gratifying to see more "wellness events" popping up and recognizing the validity of therapeutic sound to help with stress on the job.

WINE AND GONGS GO TOGETHER!
VintageView Wine Storage Systems invited the bowls and gong to their beautiful showroom in Denver for an hour of sound meditation, as part of a "wellness" offering for their their employees. They learned how to meditate with 30 different Himalayan singing bowls and then relaxed into a dynamic gong sound journey. At the end, participants are invited to play the gong and explore its complex frequencies on their own!

SHARING A BOWL IN BORREGO SPRINGS!
My singing bowl finds itself in the tiny town of Borrego Springs, California. It is known for its stunning desert landscape, warm weather, and 130 metal sculptures by artist/ welder Ricardo Breceda. Super-sized dinosaurs, horses, sloths, tortoises, mammoths, saber-toothed cats, dragons and more, appear to be roaming across barren land surrounding the area, just waiting to be found by curious tourists. MUSIC!
From our first breath, music is the instrument of the soul. It amplifies every human emotion. Music is the glue that fastens us together as people. Music knows neither gender nor creed. It is not bound by age or income. Music is our lifelong companion. It translates what words can never quite express. It is innate; as if we understand at some inarticulate level, that if we do not feed the music, some portion of us will starve. Even though we have the ear and heart to listen, the soul would have no language, if not for music.

Labyrinth at Palazzo Verdi...GONE.
Palazzo Verdi was a two story atrium in an office building near Fiddler's Green, with a very special and spiritual beauty. This space offered an extraordinary heated, indoor labyrinth and was open for the public to enjoy, 24/7. It was one of my favorite places to gather the people for a gong sound bath or sacred walk to the music of the quartz crystal singing bowls. The labyrinth was a recreation of the 13th century Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth in France. Roger Leitner created this masterpiece with Colorado sandstone and granite. The laser cut stone pattern fit together with such precision that NO GROUT was used! This sacred space was also adorned with a 40-foot-tall spiraling chandelier made of antique Italian crystal mingled with pieces of contemporary glass. To be in this space was to witness pure beauty, awe, and magic.
The building was sold and the new owners wanted a more "contemporary look" so they sold the chandelier and on 1/10/23 the labyrinth was jackhammered. I have no words.
