With the nice weather predicted to come in the four days after Christmas, I'm going to open up a few days to get some people out. I have the 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th open. Fishing is on fire, and it shouldn't take long to get some fish in the boat.

Earl and Greg fish off the bank all the time and wanted to see what the hype of FFS was all about. They got an eye opener of how different styles of fishin can be productive and produce studs.

We fished Lake Decatur in 6-8fow lookin for large fish chasing shad balls. They we hungry and ready. We had several fish over the 1.50lb mark and had 1 stud that went 1.75lbs. All big fish we released.

We used 3 Outlaw Crappie Poles 14ft PRO SE and the new 16ft prototype and we switched baits often. We paired them with a Pop’s Crappie Jig’s in "PINK BAITFISH". Crappie Monster Small Fry in "OZARK SMOKE". TOPHAT Jigs Small Fry in "PURPLE HAZE".

KR Daniels and his PARTNER DEAN have fished the HOI Crappie Club for a couple years now and have asked alot of the right questions. We fished the 100 Club of Illinois tournament at the ville and while we were at the banquet KR and I got to talking and he wanted to learn more about livesscope. All that leads to today.

We fished open water in 6-8ft looking for crappie chasing shad balls and finding roaming fish.

We used Outlaw Crappie Poles 14ft PRO SE paired with several baits today. Pop’s Crappie Jig’s in "PINK BAITFISH". Crappie Monster Small fry in "OZARK SMOKE". TOPHAT Jigs Small Fry in "PURPLE HAZE".

All big fish were released.

Chad and Josh wanted a trip to learn FFS along with catch and release.

They only had a few hours due to work obligations so we went early and was done early. We caught alot of fish including a couple studs. We had a few fish that were anywhere from 1.50 to 2lb all were healthy and released.

We fished 5-7fow in open water lookin for crappie that were suspended and chasing shad balls.

The fish wanted a variety of baits so we used Pop’s Crappie Jig’s in "PINK BAITFISH". Crappie Monster Small Fry in "OZARK SMOKE" along with TOPHAT Jigs Small Fry in "PURPLE HAZE".

What a day Deanna Zehr and Allen Zehr had. They were the winners of the Wishes on Wheels benefit back in August.

Today we fished 5-7fow chasing roaming fish that were feeding on shad. The bite changed several times today but the bait never did. We had to use minnows again today.

Deanna definitely out fished allen and she had big fish.

All big fish were released

Frank wanted to go out and see what the shop Hunters Haven has been talkin bout everytime he is in there.

We scoped fish in 5-7fow looking for balls of shad and the Crappie suspended around and under them.

Minnows were bait of choice again today as I feel the Crappie are trying to feed as much as possible to get ready for the winter that is coming.

Sorry for the late post but Had Adam Wellman out yesterday doin some livescopin.

We fished 5-7fow looking for roamers feeding on shad. When we got there it was a beautiful mornin but that changed quickly.

Rain, lighting and thunder soon moved in but that didn't stop Adam from getting his fish in the boat.

They wanted the minnow and nothing else.

Brian Cleland and I fished the Springfield Crappie Club-Springfield IL on Shelbyville today and came away with a win and big fish. We had 8.84lbs with a 1.95lb kicker.

We fished roaming fish in 3-7fow. The fish were real spooky from all the boat and fishing pressure from the past few days. You really had to be slow and precise with your boat control and drops.

The bite today was alittle different than yesterday. Minnows seem to be best, so that's what we used.

Wanna say thanks to Rob Coleman at The Shed At Lake Shelbyville for the great accommodations. If you are in the area and need a place to stay get a hold of him it was awesome.

Fished the 100 Club of Illinois 2nd annual tournament on Lake Shelbyville.

Shane Corley and I fished 5-7fow lookin for roaming fish and ended up winning with a nice bag. We had 9.21lbs and won big fish with 2.28lb hybrid.

Bait of choice today was a Pop’s Crappie Jig’s in "GRAY SMOKE". Sometimes they would short strike it and then we gave them the minnow and that they couldn't handle. After weigh in All fish were released to be caught another day.

Thanks to Steve Fermon for putting on a special tournament. Special thanks to HOI Crappie Club/ Chad Anderson and Kristen Anderson for helping Steve put on a great event as usual. Nobody compares to the things you guys do for the Crappie fisherman in central illinois.
