🏰 When you are using your washing machine - add your soap (detergent 🤗) while the water is filling - before you add clothes - this will distribute the soap more evenly in your washer. Pouring soap in after all of the clothes are added can cause soap to be concentrated on certain items - and can even cause permanent discoloration. 💕

🏰 Did you know that your child can do laundry?! Yep! They can and mine are helping with their own! It is important to give them direction in the beginning. Make sure they understand what a full load limit is. You don’t want them overstuffing the washer because items won’t have room to get cleaned properly. For my house- I took a sharpie and drew a line on the soap cap so they had a distinct line for measurement. In the beginning- I took a dry erase marker and wrote simple instructions on the dryer door. One load a week, per child, makes a huge difference on your work load and gives your child a life lesson they will use through their adult life. This is a chore that builds confidence and responsibility.
